It turned out to be a superb all-round performance from the Punjab CC as the bowlers held their nerves and managed to defend the score of 114 quite comfortably in the end. The Gamblers CC were in a strong position up until the 6th or the 7th over but a couple of tight overs turned the game on its head to allow Punjab to claw their way back and eventually win the game comfortably.

Sagar Kataria and Mayank Darji opened the innings for the Gamblers and got off to a steady start. Kataria in particular looked in good shape and smashed a 20 ball 32 which included 5 fours and a six. Darji departed after smashing a six. Kataria was dismissed soon after but Kuldeep Gholiya ensured that the Gamblers were very much in the game.

It required a brilliant direct hit from Adnan Ali to send him back and once he departed, it went from bad to worse for the Gamblers. They kept losing wickets consistently with all the Punjab bowlers bowling in the tight lines and eventually the ask was too much for them. Parveen Singh, Gurjit Singh and Rana Sarwar was quite exceptional with the ball as none of them conceded runs at over 8 runs an over.
