What a thriller we saw being played out between these two teams today! Germany did not seem like they were going to be in the chase early on, but it was a burst from Shoaib Khan that gave them the confidence to take the Italians on. The latter's spinners did not do too badly today either.

Italy will take a lot of heart from this performance, but they will also realise deep down that they could have done much better. Germany are not quite at the same level on which Italy operate, so it was disheartening to see the latter being forced to play them on par with their abilities.

Skipper Baljit Singh will rally his troops for a more confident performance in the future. Crishan Kalugamage and Jagmeet Singh, as always, held the key for the superior bowling performance showcased by the Azzurri.
