What an absolute classic we've witnessed at the Marsta Cricket Club just now! Yasir Ikram has turned out to be the hero for SIKIF, who just achieved their first win in the European Cricket Series, and how! They almost seemed beat deep into the first innings of the game, but since then, they kept fighting, with the ball and then the bat, their batters kept going after the target, and eventually, thanks to a superb display from their top-order, they got past the line!

Abdul Razzaq's (no, not him) departure two balls into the chase paved way for a blistering start for SIKIF, with Sarmad Imtiaz and Naveed Anjum going hammer and tongs in the powerplay. Sarmad seemed the more intimidating of the two, clobbering a couple of maximums before mistiming one to square leg. The wicket of Anjum soon after had SIKIF in a soup.

Ankit Gupta was struggling a bit in the middle overs, with Hammarby bowling themselves back in the contest. But with Yasir Ikram finding the boundaries, the pressure never really got to them. Once Ankit started to middle it, SIKIF were back on course for the target. Four towering sixes in the 8th over off Khalid Mehmood turned the tide towards them. Rashid Qazi accounted for Ankit in the final over, but then, Irfan Nazir went on to clobber a couple of sixes without any fuss, and got SIKIF over the line!
