A thoroughly professional display across departments by Hira Sabadell and they march on, knocking the Men in Blue out of the ECS Barcelona 2022 along the way. 118 was always a big total to play with in a big clash and once Muhammad Zeeshan sent Surya Balu packing in the very first over, Hira Sabadell were switched on.

A counter-attack followed for the rest of the powerplay but thereafter, Hira Sabadell didn't get a thing wrong. There were starts for Naresh Kumar, Snehith Reddy and Prasanna Jathan but none of them could make a substantial impact like what Bakhtiar Khalid did in the first essay. Skipper Ikram Ul Haq led the way with regular wickets while his colleagues duly did their bit to ensure that the asking rate continued to rise steeply.

Shafat Ali Syed wasn't there to do their bidding and the Men in Blue certainly missed them big time. It eventually got out of bounds and they had no way back, bringing the curtains down on their campaign in sorry fashion as Sabadell romped home to a comprehensive victory. They were the better team across departments today and have duly earned a spot in Qualifier 2, where they will now await the loser of the first Qualifier.
