This innings needed runs right from the start and that run rate had to continue right till the end. Instead, there were wickets that fell right from the beginning, and with 3 overs to go, the Hira Sabadell batting line-up folded up!
What's worse, they could not even reach 50! Worst of all, no batter got to double figures. An absolutely forgettable performance from Hira Sabadell, after putting up a fine show in the previous match against the same opponent.
There were far too many poor shots attempted, that went in the air but straight to the the fielders. And the effort to build a partnership to steady the ship, so as to take the innings deep, was never there. This loss also hurts their net run rate pretty badly.
On the flip side, Trinitat Royal Stars finish the day with two back-to-back wins but this second one was special, with a blitzkrieg to start off with with the bat and then, a complete rolling over of the opposition with the ball. The fielding too was impressive.
