Right then. Bangladesh could point fingers at a lot of things for this downfall but it all started with their decision to bat first on this pace-friendly surface. There isn't any match-up at any point and it turned out to be a one-sided tussle in the end. India will face either Sri Lanka or Pakistan in the gold medal match tomorrow, while Bangladesh have to recover quickly from this humiliating defeat and look to produce their goods in the bronze medal match.
The coverage of this match ends here, until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Arya signing off. Ciao
India Women won by 8 wickets Jemimah Rodrigues 20 (15) | Nigar Sultana 12 (17) Pooja Vastrakar 4-17 (4) | Fahima Khatun 1-7 (1)
There is only one winner in this contest right from the word go. Sheer domination from India as they register a comprehesive victory and booked their spot in the finals. Pooja and Sadhu ran through the top order in the first innings and Bangladesh didn't recover from the early setback. They couldn't handle the hungry Pooja and didn't figure out a way to score runs against the other bowlers as well.
After bowling the opposition out for a meager total, Smriti opened the account with a brilliant cover drive first up. Then, she struggled for timing and got out cheaply but Jemimah joined hands with Shafali and the duo kept the scorecard ticking. Bangladesh didn't have enough runs on the board and their spinners despite showing a good fight, couldn't stop India from crossing the finish line eventually
8.2 Shorna Akter to Jemimah Rodrigues, that's game set and match for India. Flatter on a length outside off, Jemimah rocks back and punches it away towards the deep cover-point region for a brace
8.1 Shorna Akter to Jemimah Rodrigues, FOUR! Excellent timing from Jemimah. Goes deep into the crease and cuts away the flatter and shorter one outside off. Almost a back cut there and wide of the fielder.
Shorna Akter, right-arm leg break, comes into the attack
Just one hit away for India to book their spot in the finals

7.6 Fahima Khatun to Jemimah Rodrigues, Jemimah again going for the sweep. Was a fuller one a shade outside off, this time a top edge which falls in no man's land. Jemimah takes a single and keeps strike for the next over.
There is no stopping this
7.5 Fahima Khatun to Jemimah Rodrigues, FOUR! Rodrigues has pierced the gap to perfection. Was a tossed up delivery around off and middle, Jemimah gets down on one knee and nails it away towards the vacant deep square leg region.
7.4 Fahima Khatun to Kanika Ahuja, fractionally flatter and shorter. Around middle stump, Kanika rocks back and whips it away towards the deep midwicket region for a single.
7.3 Fahima Khatun to Kanika Ahuja, slowish on a length around off and middle, defended by Kanika.
Kanika Ahuja, LHB, walks in at no.4
Shafali looked good with some backfoot shots but the move didn't pay any dividends on this occasion.
7.2 Fahima Khatun to Shafali Verma, WICKET! It goes through the legs of Shafali and rattles the middle stump. Shafali going across the line to the fractionally fuller than a short one around the middle stump. Shafali rocks back and tries to work it away towards the on side. The ball sneaks between the legs and onto the stumps.
Shafali Verma b Fahima Khatun 17 (21b, 2x4, 0x6)
7.1 Fahima Khatun to Jemimah Rodrigues, fractionally flatter a tad outside off, Jemimah rocks back and works it away to the right of the mid-on fielder for a single.
Fahima Khatun, right-arm leg break, comes into the attack
Here comes the signature Jemimah sweep but she couldn't manage to pick the gap on this occasion. Rabeya was tossing the ball up but these two are really good against spin
