Indo-Bulgarian beat Zagreb Sokol by 38 runs and progress to Eliminator 2.

Dan Lazarides, Jared Newton and Aman Maheshwari tried their level best for Zagreb Sokol against all the bowlers but could not get their team over the line.

The chase began well with more than 40 runs scored in the power play, with Lazarides taking Gagandeep Singh on for 20 runs in his first over. But after that, the big hits did not come as Zagreb would have liked, and some smart bowling, coupled with decent fielding from Indo-Bulgarian, right through to the end, ensured that the target was well out of the batting side's reach.

There was a moment of scare as Jared Newton got injured and had to be taken off the field, retired hurt and there were a couple of sloppy pieces of fielding as well in the 2nd innings with a high catch dropped due to miscommunication between the keeper and the fielder, and a run out chance missed by the keeper himself.

So Indo-Bulgarian now face Bjorvika in Eliminator 2 a little later in the day while Zagreb Sokol go home.
