Three wins in a row and Islamabad United are simply unbeatable at the moment. Their winning streak carries on with an emphatic win over defending champions Karachi Kings tonight. Chasing down 191 with eight wickets to spare and in some style as well. The duo of Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed getting the job done under extremely pressure situations, of course they had their share of luck, but it is what you make of it in the end. Munro unbeaten on 88 while Iftikhar getting his maiden PSL fifty, remaining unbeaten on a fabulous 71 off just 39 deliveries. A match-winning unbeaten 150 run-stand as well.

Karachi Kings had the upper hand in this chase at one point but it's the dropped catches that have hurt them dear and cost them the game. Giving both Munro and Iftikhar lifelines and we saw what can happen when you do that. They've got to make some serious inroads with their fielding and they will probably feel they could have finished with a few more while they were batting as well. Still hanging around at the fourth place for the moment but Karachi will have to turn this around soon, having faced two losses in a row now.

Islamabad United, on the other hand, are having a dream run at this year's PSL. 12 points with 6 wins on the board now and they are just a win away from confirming their spot in the play-offs. They are on a roll, getting better with every game now and the way they are going, they will eyeing a top of the table finish.

Another cracker of a game from the PSL and the action continues with a double header as Quetta Gladiators take on Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings return to face Peshawar Zalmi later on. Lots to look forward to from these contests as well and we will be back tomorrow, right here, taking you through both the games. See y'all then. For the moment this is Rishab and Prashanth taking your leave. Have a pleasant night!
Shadab Khan, Captain, Islamabad United: It is a team game and when our top order fails, our lower order performs and when our top order performs they are winning us games single-handedly. When you win, you learn quicker from your mistakes. I think our intensity was not good in the field. We are a young team and our intensity should be good. That is the one thing I demand from my players as the result is not in our hand, but if we give our 100% as a team and have a common goal to win, then the results will come our way.
Iftikhar Ahmed, Player of the Match, Islamabad United: Our captain and coach tell us to bat till the end. So I tried to reduce the dot balls and play till the end. As a professional, you have to be ready to perform everywhere, at every time and every situation. Whether it is batting at 4 or 5, ahead or behind, I have to perform for the team and I did that.
Imad Wasim, Captain, Karachi Kings: If you drop catches this is bound to happen. The bowlers put in efforts on this wicket and created chances. Lot to learn and work and this is a setback for us. I do not think we have many options with the bowling. We might make some changes. It is getting difficult for the spinners on this wicket because of dew. The way we started we were 15-20 runs short. We need to work on batting in the middle overs and target the bowlers. We did not play well, did not field well, had lapses in the batting and the other team played well and won. We have a game tomorrow and we have to turn it over. We are not out of the tournament yet. Nothing to lose and we will comeback hard.
Islamabad United have done it again! First in Karachi and now in Abu Dhabi. Chasing down 190 or more twice in this tournament against Karachi Kings and this is a handsome win for Islamabad. Win by 8 wickets and this has been a magnificent run-chase. Take a bow Munro and Iftikhar. Three in a row now as they move to 12 points and consolidate their position at the top. 150-run unbeaten match-winning stand as well. Convincing win and Islamabad are the team to beat!
18.4 Mohammad Amir to Iftikhar Ahmed, ISLU WIN! Length ball wide of off stump, Ahmed cuts this one away down to third man for a single and they end the game in convincing fashion. They are on a real roll here at the PSL!
18.4 Mohammad Amir to Iftikhar Ahmed, WIDE! Short ball attempted, ends up going a touch too high this time, called wide.
18.3 Mohammad Amir to Colin Munro, short of a length and outside the off stump. Munro cuts this one away on the bounce to the fielder at sweeper covers for a single
18.3 Mohammad Amir to Colin Munro, WIDE! Short and down the leg side this time, called wide.
Islamabad United in a clear hurry now!
18.2 Mohammad Amir to Colin Munro, FOUR MORE! Short of a length banged into the pitch, Munro waits for this one and guides this one away fine to the third man fence this time
18.1 Mohammad Amir to Colin Munro, FOUR! STRAIGHT DOWN THE GROUND! Full and angling into the batsman, Munro lofts this one away over the bowler's head to pick up a boundary. Easy as you like!
Mohammad Amir back into the attack
Islamabad United inching closer and closer to victory now. Looks all too easy foe them and they cannot be losing from here. Run-a-ball 12 runs needed now and this has been an absolutely magnificent chase from a top side. Iftikhar playing a brilliant hand alongside Munro!
