That's all we have from this encounter of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. This has been me (Rishab) and my colleague Pradeep bringing you all the action from this game and we shall take your leave. Have a great Saturday night!
It's often just one moment that a side needs to bring a complete turnaround and that moment has to be the run-out at the top! Odisha started off really well and they were looking well placed to get close to this target until that run-out opened the gates for Jharkhand and what was a disappointing collapse for Odisha. It was totally not needed and a silly error that's cost them the game. Bal Krishna being the pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his tally that tightened Jharkhand's grip on this game. Anukul Roy may not have been amongst the wickets but he applied the pressure with his tight bowling in the middle. Monu and Nadeem ensuring towards the end that Jharkhand cleaned this game up quickly!

All in all, a terrific all-round bowling effort and fair to say they have outplayed Odisha in this contest. Odisha got off to a good start as the openers got them past fifty runs for no loss and they were going just fine before that run-out took place and changed the complexion of this game. None of the other batsmen could stay for long at the crease and they kept losing wickets in heaps. Once they were half the side down, it was almost certain that this game had gone out of their reach.

Eventually, they failed to even bat out their quota of 20-overs and a disappointing performance from them, they way they went down in this chase. They needed partnerships which they did not get and neither did they have that one batsmen playing a single-handed fighting knock.

The batsmen set it up nicely for Jharkhand, with Ishan Kishan getting off to a cracking start and then Virat Singh playing another terrific innings towards the end to help them finish the innings on a high. It was never going to be easy chasing a big score and the Jharkhand bowlers repaying the batsmen for their efforts by bundling Odisha out for a mere 128 runs!

Big big win for them this, their second in a row and problems continue to mount for Odisha as they face another defeat. Jharkhand moving to eight points and third place in the Elite Group B points table now. Odisha continue to languish at the bottom of the table and are still in search of their first points in the tournament.
So Shahbaz Nadeem finally getting amongst the wickets as well. Coming in to bowl his final over, which he also made sure will be the final over of the game! Another double-strike and this is convincing win for Jharkhand! Tasting victory by a big margin of 54 runs. It's been a great bowling performance from them, before the batsmen set it up real nice and an all-round dominating display in all departments of the game to get their second victory of the tournament so far! Mighty pleasing this from them. Odisha ending up being skittled out for a paltry 128 inside 18 overs.
17.5 Shahbaz Nadeem to Tarani Sa, OUT! LBW! ALL OVER FOR ODISHA! Arm ball from Nadeem as he bowls a straighter one into Tarani on the middle and off and he gets stride forward to defend and misses, raps on the pads, appeal for leg before and Umpire say YES!
17.4 Shahbaz Nadeem to Tarani Sa, full delivery on the middle and leg as Tarani whips it straight to the short mid-wicket fielder, no run
17.4 Shahbaz Nadeem to Tarani Sa, WIDE! Wayward delivery on the outside of leg stump as Umpire calls that a wide
17.3 Shahbaz Nadeem to Tarani Sa, tossed up, full on the off stump as Tarani on the front foot taps it straight to the short extra cover fielder, no run
17.2 Shahbaz Nadeem to Suryakant Pradhan, OUT! CAUGHT! Overpitched delivery on the off stump as Pradhan went for the hoick and slices that one straight down the long-off fielder's throat and Odisha are in fear of getting bowled out here!

Tarani Sa is the last man out for Odisha
17.1 Shahbaz Nadeem to Suryakant Pradhan, fired it wide outside off and Pradhan stands still to reach for it and misses, through to the keeper's gloves
Well bowled from Monu this. Holding back the length and and keeping it on the stumps! Another one bites the dust and Odisha for certain are going down. And it's a double strike from him! Charging in and bang on target that. Eight down now and it should be a formality from here on. Excellent stuff and Jharkhand closing out on this game quickly now.

56 off 18 needed. Shahbaz Nadeem into the attack
Over: 17 | Summary: 1 0 2 1 W W Bowler: Monu Kumar Score: 127/8
16.6 Monu Kumar to Sunil Roul, OUT! LBW! Caught dead in front Roul! Good length delivery on the middle and leg as Roul plays across the line and misses, raps on the pads, a huge appeal from Monu as Umpire raises his finger immediately!
16.5 Monu Kumar to Walter Toppo, OUT! TIMBER! Back of a length on the off stump line as Toppo went for the hoick again and misses, rattles the top of the off stump in the end. Odisha sink further here!
16.4 Monu Kumar to Walter Toppo, touch fuller this time on the middle and leg as Toppo went for the hoick and it inside edge's on to his pads as the ball rolls towards cover, they run a quick single
16.3 Monu Kumar to Suryakant Pradhan, back of a length on the off stump as Pradhan went for the hoick and inside edge's on to his pads as the ball ricochetes down to long-on for a brace
16.2 Monu Kumar to Suryakant Pradhan, short delivery, went over the top of the batsman's head as Pradhan went for the hook and misses, through to the keeper's gloves!
16.1 Monu Kumar to Walter Toppo, back of a length into Toppo on the middle and leg as he moves across for room and taps it down to long-on for a single
Looks like Jharkhand are on course for a win from here but Odisha don't seem to be giving up just yet. Do they intend to take this to the end? Opportunity to score and Walter taking it with both hands. They need a lot more of those if they have to take it close from here. Good comeback from Vivekanand to keep it away from the reach of the batsmen. Although, it's another boundary to finish and they are hanging in there! 60 needed off 24 now

Monu Kumar back into the attack
Over: 16 | Summary: 2 0 6 0 0 4 Bowler: Vivekanand Tiwari Score: 123/6
15.6 Vivekanand Tiwari to Suryakant Pradhan, FOUR! Low full toss on the outside off. Pradhan gets down and carves that one over the extra cover region as it races away to the boundary, no chance for the long-off fielder to cut it off
