Milan United's run-chase never really picked up momentum of any sort. The medium-pace bowling duo of Muhammad Imran and Janaka Wass troubled United's top-order to no end with an attractive display of swing bowling - Imran taking the ball away from the right-handers and Wass doing the opposite. Sanjeewa and Nimesh Mendis' struggle was a testament to that - there were no sixes in the innings until the 6th over, which came along off the skipper Tharidu Heshan's bat.

Heshan departed 5 balls later; but the game was long gone from Milan United's grasp by then. The prospect of a bonus point faded as we headed into the last four - Hasan Ali made doubly sure of that with a couple of wickets in his first over, going for a solitary run in it. Despite a really expensive last over, Jinnah Brescia coast through to a resounding victory - this sure helps them set the tone for them going into the rest of the day's play.
