Multan Sultans 195/6 (20 ov)
Karachi Kings 198/3 (18.5 ov)
Karachi Kings won by 7 wickets
Player of the match: Babar Azam
We got a cracking high-scoring game as we expected! The Sultans got off to an absolute flier, with Lynn, Rizwan and Vince, all putting in cracking performances with the bat! 200 looked well on the cards at one stage, but Arshad Iqbal managed to break the the partnership and bag the wickets of Vince and Rizwan, after which Multan Sultans crumbled and stumbled to reach 195, which seemed like 15-20 runs short on this belter of a wicket. Not to forget, there were 22 extra gifted by the Kings, something they'll have to work on as a side, as the tournament progresses, but they deserve the credit for giving only one boundary in the last four overs.

Their run chase got off to a slow start, with Sharjeel Khan showing a bit of edginess with a couple of hammer blows, but fell prey to Shahnawaz Dhani, after a handy cameo. It was the Azam and Clarke show from then on, as the two put up a stunning 97-run stand to put the Kings firmly in charge of the match. Joe Clarke raced to a 26 ball 54, before being dismissed by Dhani, but it was Babar Azam's unbeaten 90 that saw the defending champions come through with a 7 wicket victory, which also gave the opener adjudged as the man of the match.

A walk in the park towards the end, for the defending champions. They take the top spot from Islamabad United, who play against the Peshawar Zalmi, later today. The entertainment in the PSL continues on the other side, do join us again for the coverage of that match, which starts at 7:30PM IST! That's it from me(Pratyush) and my friend Prakhar, for this game though. Until next time, see ya!
Right then time for Post Match Presentation ceremony!

Mohammed Rizwan
: I felt we were 15 to 20 runs short. The kind of start we had we should have had more runs. We had no boundary in the last 30 balls. They bowled well in the death overs. I believe in God and that is helping me in my good form. I try to be brave. We could see Imran Tahir soon.

Babar Azam is the Player of the Match.

Babar Azam: There is need for improvement in every match. I learn from my mistakes from previous matches and try to improve. The way they started they should have got 220 to 230.

Imad Wasim: We saved 15 to 30 runs which helped. I believe Amir is the best bowler not only in Pakistan but in the whole world. He is bowling well. I call Joe Clarke Box Office. I have batted with him so I know him. He is in great form. We are enjoying his form with the bat.
Joe Clarke: It was a good wicket. Late in the day, the ball gets a little softer. When he (Wasim Akram) speaks he makes all the difference. He (Babar Azam) makes batting look easy.
Babar Azam finishes things off in style!! Karachi Kings won by 7 wickets.
18.5 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, FOUR! Short ball. Babar pulls to send the ball behind square on the leg side for a boundary and win the match for Karachi Kings by 7 wickets. So the script of successful chases in PSL 2021 continues...
18.4 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, FOUR! Length delivery and Babar slaps the ball through cover for a boundary! Oh yes, just one hit away now..
18.3 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, SIX! Full delivery and Babar hammers the ball over long-off for a monster hit!!!! Seems to be in a hurry now!
18.2 Sohail Khan to Mohammad Nabi, Full ball and Nabi gets an inside edge of the bat. The ball rolls around the corner which gives Nabi a chance to sneak a single.
18.1 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, Full toss on off-stump. Babar hits the ball down to deep midwicket and gets a single.
It's down to almost a run a ball now as we wait for the formalities to get wrapped up. Karachi Kings need 14 runs in 12 balls.

Sohail Khan comes back into the attack.

17.2 Carlos Brathwaite to Mohammad Nabi, Length delivery and Nabi plays the ball to leg side for a single.

17.1 Carlos Brathwaite to Babar Azam, Length ball wide of off-stump. Babar slaps the ball through cover and gets a single.
Babar Azam is in no hurry to finish this game off and is looking to deal in singles but it could be the president, Nabi, who takes on the bowlers and finishes this one quickly and give their net run rate a boost. Indeed he is, as he looks to take on the spinner and swings for the fences. Just 20 runs needed in 18 balls now. Surely there's no other twists in this game?

Carlos Brathwaite is back into the attack.
