That's all from this contest as I, Lavil Saldanha, and my colleague, Rajarsh,i take your leave. We hope you enjoyed our coverage here on Sportskeeda, and we look forward to seeing you all sometime soon. SEE YA!
David Warner [Karachi Kings captain]: Very happy. It was another difficult wicket, just like yesterday, and we took learnings from that. The man of the match bowled well, and I had to mix it up. The way he has finished things there was nice. I kept saying to the boys to take positive options despite losing wickets. For us, it is about staying in the middle and starting off well. There is so much depth in the group, credit to the boys. We have played five games here, now we hit the road. To restrict them under 150 was a fine job, but when it gets past that, it could get a bit tough. Credit to the bowlers for executing their plans nicely
Khushdil Shah [Player of the Match, Karachi Kings]: When my chance came, the management said that if back wickets fall, it could be problematic for us. When the last two overs remained, I knew that an all-rounder or a part-timer would bowl, hence it was feeling easy. The way the current team has been involving me in all things has been great, and there is no pressure involved as well. Not dismissed him for the first time (laughs), he is an important player and keep the plans simple
Babar Azam [Peshawar Zalmi captain]: We were a few runs short. The ball wasn't coming on as well as we'd expected in the first six overs. There was a partnership after that, I got out at the wrong time. Momentum was built after that, but we didn't finish well enough. We were 10 runs short, but it was a good game. When you're set, it's easier, but it's harder for a new batsman on this wicket. Pitch isn't allowing shots. The way David Warner batted throughout, we needed someone from our side to do so. Didn't happen for us. Our bowling combination is settling, we were looking at it, the way Yaqoob bowled three overs and then Ali Raza, the quicker he learns the better. We will look at the mistakes and try to rectify them.
11:46 pm local time, 12:16 am IST: Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by two wickets
Karachi Kings: 148/8 in 19.3 overs
David Warner: 60(47b) | Luke Wood: 3/28 (4 overs) Khushdil Shah: 23(17b) | Ali Raza: 2/32 (4 overs)
A proper humdinger this. Both teams threw punches at each other and batted quite nicely and, to some extent, even bowled well. The game looked like it was swinging away to extremes, but in the end, Karachi Kings held their own in this contest and sealed the deal. As for Peshawar Zalmi, they slump to yet another defeat in Karachi.
Karachi Kings lost Tim Seifert on the very first delivery, followed by their inform batter being dismissed cheaply. However, like Babar Azam, David Warner batted at one end securely and ensured that there were no slip-ups from his end. The Victorian batted quite nicely and played his shots, in the process registering a first half-century this season.
But after his wicket, it looked as if things were going to go south. In the end, Khushdil Shah stood till the end of the chase and scored boundaries to break the shackles and ensure they were always in the hunt. A Hassan Ali boundary off the last delivery ensured that Karachi Kings got their third win of the season and moved up to the second place in the table.
Peshawar Zalmi did a fine job with the ball in hand. Alzarri Joseph and Arif Yaqoob shared two wickets, while 17-year-old Ali Raza did a fine job and picked up two wickets, one at the top of the order and one towards the end. Luke Wood did a fine job as well, picking two wickets up top and then prising David Warner to break the game open for Peshawar Zalmi's chances of winning.
19.3 Hussain Talat to Hasan Ali, GAME, SET, MATCH! Back of a length, angled towards leg stump. Hasan Ali swivels and whips this into the vacant deep square region. No one out there to cut it off, and the Karachi Kings sneak home with two wickets and three balls to spare!
19.2 Hussain Talat to Khushdil Shah, hard length, following the batter as Khushdil shimmied away a touch. Eased down towards long off for a run
19.1 Hussain Talat to Khushdil Shah, THRASHED PAST POINT! 5 more needed off 5! Back of a length, well wide of off. Khushdil had ample room to throw his hands at it, he does, and beats Wood to his right in the deep!
Hussain Talat's New Bowling spell
Last over coming up. Karachi Kings need 9 runs off 6 deliveries. Only Saim Ayub, who is a bowler in this lineup, can bowl an over. Let's see who they turn to

18.6 Ali Raza to Khushdil Shah, full toss, on off stump. Khushdil swings, doesn't get all of it. Just a single down to long on
18.5 Ali Raza to Khushdil Shah, full, angled into the batter. Khushdil turns this towards the deep mid-wicket region, calls for two and gets it. Throw at the bowler's end was wide - Hasan Ali was struggling a bit
18.4 Ali Raza to Hasan Ali, on a fuller length outside off. Hasan Ali strides forward, drives loosely towards mid off, and the batters hare through for a quick run. The fielder decides against throwing the ball
18.3 Ali Raza to Khushdil Shah, full, just outside off at pace. Khushdil bunts it over the bowler's head without timing it right. The batters get one as mid-off cuts it off
18.2 Ali Raza to Hasan Ali, back of a length outside off. Hasan stands tall, dabs it towards third man and collects a single

Aamer Jamal has been dismissed for 1 runs off 2 balls
18.1 Ali Raza to Aamer Jamal, THE FINGER GOES UP EVEN BEFORE THE BOWLER TURNS TO APPEAL! Jamal consults his partner and sends it upstairs. He was comprehesively beaten by this cross-seamed, hard length delivery outside off. Jamal looked to play across the line, the ball went on to strike his back leg before he got his bat across.
No question of ball touching bat. Umpire's call on wickets hitting - would have clipped the top of the stumps. Another twist in the tale!
Although Karachi are a bit thin in the batting department, they still have a very good chance of winning this game. They need 15 runs to win in 12 deliveries and Khushdil will have to a huge chunk of the upcoming deliveries
