This has been a clinical performance from the Koln CC and they will be ending their campaign on a high as they've managed to salvage a lot of pride with that win. They've beaten a much more fancied side here and that too by a big margin of 39 runs.

The Gelsenkirchen didn't really get off to a good start and they kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Satapathy tried to counter attack and kept them in the game for a while but he ran out of partners till he was joined by Jay Tamkuwala. The latter played a blinder of 35 from just 15 balls but it was a bit too late as the game had already slipped away from their hands. In the end, they just about managed to get past 100.

The Koln CC bowlers did a good job in backing up the superb performance put up by their batters. They managed to defend this huge score successfully as most of their bowlers chipped in with a wicket or two. Vinay Kashyap was the pick of the bowlers as he got three crucial scalps and Shirzad was the other bowler who managed to pick up a couple of wickets.
