What a finish we had here today in Santarem! Fighters CC seemed all set to win this game and storm into the semifinals of the ECS Portugal competition, but it was not to be. They were in the hunt for the longest time, but this did not translate into a victory. Malo bowled exceedingly well, and fully deserve this victory.

Dalwinder Singh gave Fighters CC some hope when he smacked all the bowlers of Malo around the park with the new ball. However, he received very little support from the other end. After he departed, it was curtains for Fighters CC as they capitulated against the disciplined Malo bowling attack, which was at them relentlessly.

Fighters CC will be extremely unhappy with the way they performed today. Chasing 89 was not a big ask for them given the sort of hitters they have in their lineup. However, they faltered and ended up five runs short of the desired total. The defending champions Malo have booked a berth for themselves in the final yet again.

Malo Qalandars have somehow pulled this off! What a game, and what a finish by the Qalandars.
