Just like all the other ECS matches,an artifical turf will be used for the Rome leg too. The pitch will assist the batters as the artifical pitch allows the ball to skid and reach the batsmen at a comfortable height. As for the bowlers, they will need to constantly employ change ups in pace, line and length to keep the batsmen guessing.
According to Accuweather, there will be plenty of sunshine today and the maximum temperature will be 27 degree celsius with no chance of rain. Unlike the Rome leg and its first day, the rain-gods will stay away in Bulgaria.
Barbarian CC would be relatively unaware of the pitch behaviour and they could go against them as Medical University Sofia has already played a game here. However, the team will be looking to play to its straengths and neutralize the advantage of pitch or conditions.

The ECS juggernaut has moved on to Bulgaria and the first match of the tournament will see Medical University Sofia playing against MU Dons. Both teams will be looking to start off on a positive note. The pitch so far looks like a belter for batsmen, given they spend some time in the middle.
BAR lost the wicket of Hristo Ivanov on the very first ball of the innings. They failed to come back into the game after that and lose their other opener and the skipper in the next over. Being 19/3 after the first balls was never going to help them.
The next two batsmen, Boyko Ivanov (29 off 19) and Jevon Payne (23* off 29) decided to call the chase off and looked forward to playing out the 10 overs. Ivanov fell right after the duo completed their half-century partnership off 39 balls! Albin Jacob picked 2/9 in his two overs and was well supported by Shivang Keshvala (1/16) and the skipper Nisarg Shah (1/12)!
MUS beat BAR by 53 runs in the end! That's it from the game then as I (Sameer Deodhar) sign off on behalf of my colleague Navjeevan Rajput and myself!
