This has been the perfect contest! What a climax we've had to this game. It looked like Gladiators were forerunners to chase this down but Minhaj had other plans! They got that early breakthrough that they needed and kept chipping away till the very end. They did survive a bit of a scare towards the end as Gladiators still looked like they were in it till the very end. Their openers looked good getting them off to a decent start but they just lost their way thanks to some wonderful bowling and catching, that has been the highlight of this game. Awais Ahmed behind the stumps as well coming real good for Minhaj. Three wickets each for Ameer Hamzah and Yasin Javaid, and a couple apiece for Mehmood and Zaka Ullah as well. Clearly indicating an all-round bowling performance as Minhaj pulled off an incredible win!

The run-rate was never an issue for Gladiators and had they batted a bit sensibly, they'd have not made a horror of this chase. Aggression costing them all those wickets and the game eventually. Taking nothing away from Minhaj though for the way they fought back after that disappointing batting show. A much-needed win for them and we could not have asked for any more action in a cracking encounter to end the final game of the day and the week as well!

Lots more of such action coming your way from the ECS in the following week. Until then, this has been Rishab, and my colleague Bala as we take your leave. Have a great night!
Just for a moment, when  it looked like it was all done for the Gladiators, they came back and went down fighting till the end! Just the kind of drama you'd expect in such a run-chase. Minhaj then pulling off a brilliant win defending that total, winning by 7 runs in the end!
9.4 Yasin Javaid to Muhammad Umar, OUT! That's it! Bit of a fightback at the end but they fall short! Full and straight at the stumps, he heaves across the line and gets his stumps knocked back
9.3 Yasin Javaid to Muhammad Umar, good length ball marginally outside the off-stump, heaves across the line and gets beaten. 8 off 3 then!
9.2 Yasin Javaid to Nadeem Muhammad, length ball on middle and leg, chips it down to long-on for a single. 8 off 4!
9.1 Yasin Javaid to Muhammad Umar, good length ball angling in on the leg-stump, defends it on the off-side and takes a quick single. 9 off 5!
This game has had all the action! Gladiators still hanging in probably? Muhammad hitting one out and if he can get a couple more, this game is still open. What a game this has turned out to be! Bit of a scare for Minhaj now 10 off 6 needed
Over: 9 | Summary: 1w 1 1 6 0 1 4 Bowler: Zaka Ullah Score: 82/9
8.6 Zaka Ullah to Nadeem Muhammad, FOUR! Full ball on the stumps, nails it straight back past the bowler, perfectly bisecting the two fielders in the deep
8.5 Zaka Ullah to Muhammad Umar, length ball outside the off-stump, drags it away to long-on for a single
8.4 Zaka Ullah to Muhammad Umar, beats the batsman with the yorker but it misses the leg-stump by a whisker
8.3 Zaka Ullah to Muhammad Umar, SIX! Length ball swinging in, takes the front leg away and despatches it over the mid-wicket fence
8.2 Zaka Ullah to Nadeem Muhammad, full ball outside the off-stump, chips it over the infield to wide long-off
8.1 Zaka Ullah to Muhammad Umar, right in the blockhole, he manages to dig it out to mid-wicket for a single
Zaka Ullah on a HAT-TRICK!
8.1 Zaka Ullah to Muhammad Umar, short and too wide of the off-stump. The umpire signals a wide
Gladiators continue to lose wickets and Awais Ahmed is having a good time behind the stumps today! Minhaj certainly on top at the moment and it looks like it's done and dusted for the Gladiators from here! Told you it was going to be a tricky total and the Gladiators will be pretty disappointed with what they have made of this chase! Another solid over for Minhaj as they are now just a wicket away from what can be called an epic victory. 24 off 12 needed
