Multan Sultans 176/5 (20 ov)
Karachi Kings 164/7 (20 ov)
Multan Sultans won by 12 runs.
Player of the match: Rilee Rossouw
Well, Multan Sultans coming into this game desperately needing a win to get back on track and they did exactly that, also against one of the top sides in Karachi Kings. The Sultans has a great start when they were batting first as they were racing along in the first half of their innings. They looked well on course for 200 but Karachi did well to pull it back. However, as we did mention earlier, it was that innings of Khushdil at the end that really proved to be the difference.

Karachi Kings did not get the desires start, rather, they started well too slowly in the powerplay that piled up the pressure right from the start of the chase. They went on losing wickets along the way as well with only Babar standing through and carrying his bat. Although he did remain unbeaten on 85, he did not look at his very best and seemed to be struggling to get himself going the way he would have liked to. Chadwick Walton contributing with 35 as well but it wasn't going to be enough with the run-rate creeping up all the way along.

A brilliant effort with the ball and in the field by the Sultans, eventually giving them what they desperately needed. Three wickets for Imran Khan in that final over, being the pick of the bowlers to go with two for Imran Tahir, who was just as good in those middle overs. A good all-round effort with the bat, ball and in the field as well to pull off a 12-run win then, giving them two crucial points and keeping themselves alive in the tournament.

That's it for the moment but do stay around as we have the second game of the night coming your way shortly with Peshawar Zalmi taking on the Lahore Qalandars, who are coming off a thrilling last-ball win from last night. The action only seems to be getting better at the PSL and you do not want to miss out. This is Rishab and Prashanth signing off then, take care and stay safe!
Mohammad Rizwan, Captain, Multan Sultans: Every team tries to win and things like batting or bowling first are not in our hands. A champion side prepares for all conditions and we try to do that. We decide according to our knowledge and players to play spinners and fast bowlers. We went with 4 pacers and 1 spinner. But for the upcoming matches, we will look at the pitch and take decisions.
Rilee Rossouw, Player of the Match, Karachi Kings: We wanted to play brave cricket and that was the talk by the captain and the management in the team meetings. So I decided to play brave cricket and it paid off for me.
Imad Wasim, Captain, Karachi Kings: I think we bowled really well and came back well at the end. Just a bit of a slow start in the powerplay and they bowled really well. We should give credit to them as well. The way Babar and Sharjeel have played from the start has been outstanding. These are one-off games, we will sit together and talk about it. Nothing wrong in losing a game. If you play hard enough, I think we did not play hard and smart enough. It was a good wicket. I thought if we restrict them to under 170-180 with the start they had we had a very good chance. We did that but unfortunately the powerplay was the key for both the sides.
All coming a little to late for Qasim Akram and the Karachi Kings! Three wickets in the final over for Imran Khan, holding his nerves and this is a much-needed win for Multan Sultans, desperately needed that to lift themselves up in the table and a fine all-round performance in the end!

19.6 Imran Khan to Qasim Akram, OUT! THAT IS THAT! Banged in on a hard length outside the off stump. Akram tries to pull this one away again, gets it off the splice of the bat and lobs up for a simple catch at the end to the fielder at covers.
19.5 Imran Khan to Qasim Akram, SIX! BANG! Short of a length and angling into the batsman, Akram gets inside the line of this one and pulls it away over square leg for a maximum. Serious strike that!
19.4 Imran Khan to Qasim Akram, FOUR! EDGED! Length ball outside the off stump, Akram gets a thick outside edge as he looks to punch it away. Races away off the outside edge to the fence this time. A little too late!
Qasim Akram comes to the crease
Imran Khan on a HAT-TRICK and this is probably the game for Multan Sultans!
19.3 Imran Khan to Imad Wasim, OUT! GONE FOR A DUCK! Game well and truly over with that, surprised him with a bouncer this time. Imad looking to pull, got a top edge and it was caught by Rizwan safely. On a hat-trick then!
19.2 Imran Khan to Thisara Perera, OUT! CAUGHT! Full and angling into the batsman, Perera goes deep in his crease and sends this one straight down the throat of the fielder at long on. The two have not crossed as well, so Azam will remain at the non striker's end.
19.1 Imran Khan to Thisara Perera, short ball angling across the batsman, Perera early into the pull shot and makes no contact this time. Dot ball! 23 from 5 it is!
Imran Khan to bowl the final over!

Well, the Karachi Kings are turning this on now, at probably just the right time. He's getting onto it now is Babar Azam, who's been there right from the start and he will want to take his side. We saw 16 being chased off the final over last night, can the Kings pull off 23 from 6? Walton walking back in the meantime. Hang on folks, this is going to be an interesting finish!

18.6 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, OH MY! Has Walton made it back in time? No, he is short by some margin. Full length ball outside the off stump, Azam plays this one away to the extra cover region and calls his partner back for a second run that did not exist.
18.5 Sohail Khan to Babar Azam, excellent ball, full and wide in the blockhole outside the off stump. Was it a touch far outside the off stump, tight call from the umpire. Babar left that one alone thinking it would be wide.
