Shreyas Gopal (Shivamogga Lions captain): We had a couple of tough games and it was about recreating the early success that we had. This was a below-par score, if you ask me. We took it really deep to seal the deal. 175 was a good total on this surface, so our bowlers did extremely well. Shivaraj is someone who does this over and over again in club cricket. I know very few people in our state who can win games single-handedly like he did today.

In the end, it was left to S Shivaraj and Kranthi Kumar to seal the deal for Shivamogga Lions after the game almost seemed to be gone from them. Mysore Warriors seemed to be in control throughout the game. Even the big-hitting Abhinav Manohar could not change things for the Lions and things looked quite dusty for them towards the end.

Nihal Ullal had given the Lions a good start along with Rohan Kadam but the middle overs belonged to Mysore. The Lions, however, will be extremely pleased with the way they pulled this game off owing to the flurry of big hits by Shivaraj and Kranthi towards the end. The duo were single-handedly responsible for taking their side over the line today!
