SA-L won by 9 wickets
That brings us to the end of our coverage for this match. Join us tomorrow as we look forward to bringing you cricketing action from all across the globe. This is Rajarshi, along with Pradeep, signing off for the day!
Johan Botha, Player Of The Match: We just wanted to hit the wickets and bowl on a length. I try and stay fit and active. Overall, it was a good experience. It's a little bit of an older group, hopefully, as a unit, we can keep this going.
Jonty Rhodes, South Africa Legends captain: We did learn some hard lessons, and we adapted to it thanks to the experience of our team. We were grateful that we could adapt and change our game so quickly. (On the South Africa Legends' two off-spinners) They are guys with great skill, guys that I can call on, guys that can bowl in the powerplay, and with great control. The wicket kept a little bit lower, there was a bit more turn than yesterday, and occasionally, it stopped. It's less about the net run rate, at this stage, it was about getting across the line. Andrew Puttick played superbly. They just played some superb cricket.
Ross Taylor (Captain, New Zealand Legends): Was a tough wicket, the way they came out and put us under the pressure was brilliant, but Hopkins and Brownlie gave us something at the end but it was never enough. Half the guys turned up yesterday, didn't train at all, South Africa were just too good at the end of the day. If we're going to get a couple of early wickets, these guys haven't played for a long time, we will get better. Shane is bowling just 85% or 90%, hopefully he's 100% in the next game, still bowl a bouncer. Few sore bodies, the intensity of not playing for a long time, Scott Styris is raring to go in the next game.
Andrew Puttick: It was so much fun, I think we bowled really well, restricted them and then was a bit of a struggle up front, had a bit of a luck with the no-ball, once I was in, I expressed myself and it came off, Kiwi wicket keeper was challenging me to finish with the three balls and I did. I haven't played since the last edition, played India two nights ago, nice to spend time in the middle, get some runs under your belt, hopefully we keep playing well and go long way. Some of us have played a bit together, it's all about spending time together, we're going to make the most of it and have good time.

South Africa Legends win by 9 wickets with 39 balls to spare

Morne van Wyk and Andrew Puttick laid the perfect platform for South Africa Legends to chase down the total of 100 on a sluggish wicket. New Zealand didn't seem to have enough spinners at the start, and although Shane Bond bowled pretty well, the ball was coming onto the bat well enough for the two South African openers to capitalize. Once van Wyk was dismissed, Puttick took over the mantle of gunning the runs down, having played the patience game for quite a bit. He was brilliantly caught behind by Gareth Hopkins at one stage, but it turned out that the bowler, Anton Devcich had overstepped.

Alviro Petersen also got in on the act, the spin into him helping him access the leg-side comfortably. Puttick then put his foot on the accelerator, and soon after, South Africa Legends were home and dry, having completed the game with over 6 overs to spare!
13.3 Neil Broom to Andrew Puttick, SIX! BANG! That's it, South Africa Legends pick up their first win of the tournament. Finishes things in style, what a shot that from Puttick. Good length on the middle and off, goes slog sweeping this one and POWERS it over deep mid-wicket fence for a huge maximum.
13.2 Neil Broom to Andrew Puttick, FOUR MORE! Puttick is in real hurry here, good length on the leg-stump, he gets forward and hammers it to deep mid-wicket, goes one bounce into the fence for a boundary.
13.1 Neil Broom to Andrew Puttick, SIX! BAM! Fires a length delivery on the pads, Puttick plants his front foot forward and DISPATCHS it into the stands over deep square-leg fence for a huge maximum.
Neil Broom (2-0-12-0) is back into the attack
Just the formalities remain to be completed.
