Commentary
That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose and my colleague, Maanas Upadhyay, signing off.
Both the teams came into this semi-final with a win from their last match and it was set to be a cracker. OEI won the toss and sent ALV to BAT first. ALV looked settled in their approach and started to dominate the bowling as the innings progressed. Opener Arslan made a quick 20 before Rana Sarwar put the stage on fire. He blazed through the bowling attack of OEI and took no prisoners. Rana's unbeaten 52 was well supported by Parveen who came in and slaughtered the ball round the park ruthlessly. His 19 from 5 balls made sure that the run-feast was well on track. Hussain and Salman Ahmed took 1 scalp each. Maratha proved pretty useful in the middle, effectively stopping the run-flow but ALV were successful to put up a mammoth total of 113 from their 10 overs and anything over 10 runs per over to chase in a semi-final is sure to give the chasing team some butterflies.

Chasing a big total, OEI started a bit shaky. Kuldeep went back quickly and skipper Balkrishna was not able to find the middle of his bat. But the chase was all about the man in-form, Greenshields. Took matters in his own hand and hit boundaries for fun. He was looking ominous and 6s and 4s were raining all through his innings. After the dismissal of Balkrishna, Hussain came in for his unbeaten 8 from 6 balls. From ALV's perspective, Rana Sarwar and Amir Dar bowled brilliantly taking 1 wicket each, while others went for plenty. Greenshields looked in great touch and was destined to take his team home. With 20 needed from the last over, Arslan Nawaz came in to bowl. Greenshields even took him apart and finally it was 6 needed from the last ball. You miss and I hit! The batsman swung hard but missed, and Arslan's delivery hit the stumps. Greenshields got dismissed on the last ball scoring a brave 79 from 37 balls.
It was a great effort from the chasing team.

ALV thus win a thrilling contest by 5 runs and seal their spot in the final!
