Marsa CC won this match by 36 runs!

A comprehensive victory for Marsa CC as 132 runs to chase turned out to be a bit too much for the Overseas batting lineup. They in the end managed to register 95 runs which is their joint-highest score against the Knights.

For Marsa CC, Waseem Abbas set the tone for them as he managed to bowl the first wicket maiden over for the tournament. The Overseas from there were just playing the catch-up game which they really couldn't manage to get through. Overseas were banking on their number one batsmen Daniel Kniverton to get the start but he failed once again as he was run out early in the innings.

Heinrich Gericke (14 off 10) got the start but could not build on it. Towards the back end of the innings, Deon Vosloo (21* off 14) and Andy Naudi (22* off 14) played the free brand of cricket as they realized the target was beyond their reach and in the process musted a really good unbeaten partnership flourished between them. Both together add 39 runs for the sixth wicket.

The top performer with the ball were Waseem Abbas and Niraj Khanna. Abbas bowled a maiden over and took a wicket whereas Khanna managed to pick up a couple of wickets and conceded just 12 runs from his 2 overs.

So the Marsa CC have managed to pull off a double on Overseas as they have defeated them twice in this tournament. Marsa CC are looking strong and good to fight for the top spot in the table as they are yet to be defeated as well.

That's it for this game everyone!! We hope that you enjoyed this live coverage between Marsa CC and Overseas CC. Stay tuned on Sportskeeda for all the live cricketing updates from around the world. 9.5 W Abbas to A Naudi, outside off on the full length, pushed to point
9.4 W Abbas to A Naudi, outside off on the full length, steered towards third man for a boundary
9.3 W Abbas to D Vosloo, full-length delivery outside off and sliced but taken by the fielder. Funny moment as every player reminds the catcher to throw the ball as it was free-hit delivery!
9.3 W Abbas to D Vosloo, another boundary as the full toss beats the batsman as well as the keeper! Few bonus runs coming in for OVR towards the end of the proceedings here!
9.2 W Abbas to D Vosloo, FOUR! moves across and paddle sweeped it for a boundary, A great shot that one and probably the shot of the innings for OVR!
9.1 W Abbas to A Naudi, outside off on the full length, driven for a single towards mid-off
8.6 H Mughal to D Vosloo, dot ball as he leaves the short ball
At the end of the 9th over OVR are 77/5. OVR are 55 runs away from the total

Waseem Abbas comes on to bowl the final over for the match. He was the one who bowled the first over of the match and registered the first wicket maiden over for the tournament. It looked like MAR skipper let a new bowler bowl the final over as there is no scoreboard pressure here but he gets his strike bowler back on to finish the job.

8.4 H Mughal to D Vosloo, full length on the leg stump, flicked for a single

It is all formalities now as both these batsmen Deon and Andy are looking to enjoy their time out there in the middle. It is surely a lovely day out there in Malta and both these batsmen will be looking to play a worry-free brand of cricket for the last 12 balls! MAR will look to try out a couple of new bowlers!
