It was a meek surrender from the Overseas in the end as they fell short by 69 runs in the end. It has been a comprehensive win for the Crusaders and they've clinched it in emphatic fashion in the end. They were always going to be favorites for winning this game, having put on 135 runs on the board, but they bowled relentlessly to ensure that they end up with the victory in the end.

Most of the top order could hardly contribute anything as it was a familiar script for the Overseas. It was Stasch and Marks who put up a bit of a partnership in the middle overs as they managed to score some valuable runs and bring the difference between the two totals down. However, it was a bridge too far in the end for them as they fell well short.

The Crusaders used just five bowlers and all of them were really tidy as none went for more than 8 runs per over. They choked the flow of runs throughout the innings and ensured that the Overseas batters could hardly find any momentum. The bowling was lead by Ishantha Kariyawasam and Mahabub Rahman who both picked up three wickets in total.
