That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose and my colleague, Gaurav Kadam, signing off.
Winning the toss and electing to BAT first, it did not go according to the plan upfront for the in-form RPCC team. The dangerous Rajmani Singh got dismissed early and soon they were reduced to 44/2 from their first 4 overs. Mehmoor Javed along with Jabrar Afzal held the innings firm and added 31 runs and 14 runs respectively. But it was all about the show at the depth. Mehboob Ahmed arrived at the crease and took the bowling attack apart. He blazed to an unbeaten 36 from just 9 balls and took no prisoners. It was a gallant display of powerful hitting. From the bowling department, Handun and Abbas took 2 wickets each while skipper Sameera, Damith Kosala, and Ramesh Silva all chipped in with 1 wicket each. RPCC managed 120/7 from their 10 overs.
Chasing 121 from 10 overs was always going to be a tricky task and so it proved out to be. PCC lost 3 quick wickets and were reduced to 44/3 at the halfway stage. But Ghulam Abbas was not giving up on the chase and produced a brilliant knock of 53 runs from just 25 balls before getting run out due to a silly error. With him, the hopes of a successful chase also got vanquished. Opener Kavinda also contributed 21 runs from 8 balls while Handun made a weary run-a-ball 15. From the bowling department, Skipper Sukhpal Singh took 3 wickets while Hardeep Singh and Rajmani Singh took 1 wicket each. PCC finished on 101/6 and fell way short of the target.

RPCC thus complete a dominating performance and win the match by a margin of 19 runs while recording their 5th victory of the tournament in as many matches.
