Commentary

This has been Pragadeesh and myself (Rishab) for the moment. The day is only getting started as we have three more ECS games along with action from the international scene coming your way as well. Do stay tuned to catch it all and more throughout the day!

Vienna CC starting off with a four-wicket win then. They had the depth in the batting and it did show today as they managed to get over the line with two overs to spare in the end. They had a good start in the powerplay which set the tone for this chase. While they did lose a few wickets in the middle and it looked like this game could go down the wire, it was that burst from Daniel Eckstein that really took the game away from Pakistan CC. Some good batting from them to get an important win.

Pakistan CC could not build pressure in the powerplay with the ball. They did pick wickets in the middle a few at the backend end, trying all they could but the damage was done and by then, they did not have enough runs to play with. They did well in their batting innings to finish on a good note but they would have liked a few more runs on the board. Work for them to do going into the second game as they will look to bounce back.

A good all-round game for Vienna CC this and they will look forward to carry the momentum as the two sides meet again not too long from now. Can they make it a double or will Pakistan CC settle scores?

That is that then! Some nervy moments but Vienna CC have sealed this game quite comfortably in the end with a couple of overs to spare here. A good victory for them this and the fight Pakistan CC put up wasn't good enough in the end!
