Post-Match Comments: -

Sherfane Rutherford: -
One of the best feelings for me, because PSL has some of the best bowlers. It was a good game. I told Wahab that if I miss you need to take him (Steyn) down and it's good to see the skipper step up. He (Sammy) gives me confidence to express myself and it's been good so far.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, captain of Quetta Gladiators: - I think fielding is extremely crucial in T20 cricket. If we had gotten Rutherford run out, the game would have been done. It was difficult to stop him at the end. The pitches are really good to bat on, and the bowling plans haven't been executed properly as well. Bowling with a wet ball is never easy. We can definitely bounce back.

Haider Ali, Player of the Match: - I'm feeling really good. Happy to perform and contribute towards the team's win again. There was pressure early but myself and Imam thought that we just needed a good partnership to get our team on track. Playing with experienced players and under good coaches helps me learn each day.

Wahab Riaz, captain of Peshawar Zalmi: - We were confident after the chase in the previous game. We knew it's a good pitch and we backed ourselves. I think I have to work hard on my bowling. As captain I can't afford to let my team down. Need to execute better. I knew that if I hit a couple of sixes, I could seal things. Happy that it came off.
WHAT AN OUTSTANDING GAME we have had here and these two teams have once again provided us with a classic. Peshawar Zalmi looked down and out of this chase, but somehow, somewhere, they've gotten themselves over the line & have picked up a 3-wicket win, by overhauling the 199-run target and ending up at 202/7. You've got to be feeling for the young Mohammad Hasnain, who looked so good, but got that one delivery go so badly wrong to concede 4 runs off a wide ball & that just was the final blow for the Quetta Gladiators. Peshawar Zalmi must be thankful to the innings from Haider Ali, who top-scored with a 29-ball 50 & he was backed at the start by Imam-ul-Haq, who scored 41 from 30 balls, and then the middle order stood up for Peshawar Zalmi, with the veteran Shoaib Malik getting a vital 34 from 20 balls and then the game-changing cameos from Sherfane Rutherford who ended up with an 18-ball 36* and the skipper Wahab Riaz more than made-up for his poor bowling, with a stunning 8-ball 20, which included the back-to-back sixes in the 19th over from Dale Steyn, and it was these contributions that ensured that the lack of scores from Kamran Akmal & Tom Kohler-Cadmore wasn't going to hurt them.

For the Quetta Gladiators, Dale Steyn started out well, but once again suffered a horrific meltdown in the 19th over to concede 21 runs and end up with figures of 2/44 in his 4 overs, while Zahid Mahmood was really good once again with his leg-spin & had 1/32 from his 4 overs. Usman Shinwari once again went for runs but picked up a wicket to end up with figures of 1/49 from 4 overs, while Mohammad Hasnain looked so promising until that one forgettable moment and had figures of 1/40 in his 3.3 overs, with Ben Cutting getting the other wicket, but got taken for runs to end up with figures of 1/23 in his 2 overs, with Mohammad Nawaz bowling 2 overs for 13 runs without taking a wicket.

The Quetta Gladiators still stay winless in the PSL this season, but they did give it their all.
19.3 Mohammad Hasnain to Sherfane Rutherford, FOUR! Full ball outside the off-stump, drives it through the covers and into the boundary
19.3 Mohammad Hasnain to Sherfane Rutherford, OH MY! Have to say, haven't seen something like this at this stage! Gets this delivery entirely wrong, wild full toss way past the wide guideline, Sarfaraz has no chance of getting to that
Another last over meltdown happening here & Saqib Mahmood sacrifices his wicket here to be run out and Peshawar Zalmi are now 193/7, with 6 runs needed off 4 balls & Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the new batsman at the crease, with Rutherford on strike.
19.2 Mohammad Hasnain to Saqib Mahmood, OUT! Full ball on the off-stump, drives it straight to short extra cover. Rutherford wants to be on strike and Saqib Mahmood sacrifices his wicket
This is an absolute monster yorker from Hasnain and he's blown Riaz's leg stump off the ground, but Riaz has done his job and this game has had another twist. Peshawar Zalmi now need 6 runs from 5 balls, but they have now only 4 wickets remaining. Saqib Mahmood is the new man at the crease.
19.1 Mohammad Hasnain to Wahab Riaz, OUT! Nails the yorker, just can't get it better! Wahab Riaz fails to dig it out and the leg-stump gets uprooted!
What an outstanding over for the Peshawar Zalmi, with 21 runs coming from it and they are now 193/5 after 19 runs, with 6 runs needed off the last over, which would be bowled by Mohammad Hasnain.
Over: 19 | Summary: 1 6 1 6 6 1 Bowler: Dale Steyn Score: 193/5
18.6 Dale Steyn to Wahab Riaz, full toss outside the off-stump, swings hard and gets a thick inside edge to short fineleg
18.5 Dale Steyn to Wahab Riaz, SIX! Out of the stadium! Length ball angling in, opens up the shoulders and sends the ball sailing for another enormous six! The box of balls comes out once again!
18.4 Dale Steyn to Wahab Riaz, SIX! It's out of here! You can't bowl length at this stage of the game! Heaves it across to the on-side and clears the long-on fence by a long way. 102 metres! New balls please!
18.3 Dale Steyn to Sherfane Rutherford, full toss on the off-stump, swings hard but gets the inside edge to short fineleg
18.2 Dale Steyn to Sherfane Rutherford, SIX! Digs it in short but the batsman is upto the task! Pulls it away to square leg and manages to clear the fence
18.1 Dale Steyn to Wahab Riaz, low full toss on the off-stump, drives it down to long-on for a single
An expensive over for Hasnain, who concedes 14 runs from it and after 18 overs, Peshawar Zalmi are 172/5, while needing another 27 runs from 12 balls. This really ain't over guys, not by a long shot...the penultimate over of the match will be bowled by Dale Steyn.
Over: 18 | Summary: 1 1 0 6 6 0 Bowler: Mohammad Hasnain Score: 172/5
17.6 Mohammad Hasnain to Sherfane Rutherford, off-cutter dug into the pitch, angling away from the left-hander, swings hard across the line but makes no connection
