Commentary
That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose and my colleague, Maanas Upadhyay, signing off.
Batting first, PCC got off to a dreadful start losing both the openers in the very 1st over. They collected 17 runs from the first 3 powerplay overs and the very next ball skipper Wickramasekara departed after a cautious knock of 3 from 7 balls. Prakash Sadasivan and Baghel steadied the innings with the former contributing 22 off 15 balls, and the later producing a useful knock of 24 from 15 balls. Hilal Ahmad also chipped in with a useful cameo right at the depth adding 19 from 13 balls to the scorecard. From the bowling department, Bemmireddy struck thrice, Shukla and Ashok Reddy took 1 wicket each. Skipper Bagauly bowled exceptionally well and ended his 2 overs' spell with figures 8/1. PCC managed 88/8 from their 10 overs and were up for a fight.
Chasing a tricky target of 89 from 60 balls, UCC were not allowed to break free. There was no room on offer, and UCC batsmen had to dig deep. They managed 16 runs from the first 3 powerplay overs and were looking to find their feet in the middle. With 30/2 after 6 overs and 59 needed from 24 balls UCC started to fall prey to the mounting pressure and didn't have enough in their tank to recover. Joshi top-scored with an unbeaten 19 from 14 balls and opener Abhimanyu made a weary 17 off 19 balls. None of the other batsmen touched the double-figure mark and looked to lack proper intent and execution. For PCC, Mendon was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 wickets for just 5 runs. Sharan Ramakrishnan and Selvan took 1 wicket each and made sure to put real dents in the chase.UCC managed a late flurry of boundaries but they were really too little too late. They finished off with a maximum reaching 59/5 from their 10 overs.

PCC thus complete a resounding display and win the match comfortably by 29 runs.
End of the innings
UCC 59/5 from 10 overs

PCC win by 29 runs
9.6 L Selvan to S Joshi, SIX! Full toss on the off stump, the batsman shuffles across, waits for the ball and launches it over the mid-wicket region for a huge maximum. Huge hit but unfortunately not a huge impact in the context of the match. With that, the Prague CC secure a clinical win over the United CC by 29 runs!
9.5 L Selvan to S Joshi, no run, a big swing and a miss, length ball outside off swinging away, the batsman fails to get bat on ball.
9.4 L Selvan to S Joshi, FOUR! Full toss on the leg stump, the batsman clobbers that through the backward square leg region for a boundary! Beautiful shot of the middle of the bat piercing the gap perfectly!
9.3 L Selvan to S Joshi, OUT! RUN-OUT! Full ball on the off stump, the batsman comes down the track and smacks that straight back at the bowler, who makes a brilliant stop. The non-striker meanwhile is halfway down the track before he realises that the bowler has stopped the ball. An easy run-out is effected by the bowler. Everything has been going south from the very beginning for UCC. Mohiuddin departs scoring 7 from 5 balls
9.2 L Selvan to EM Mohiuddin, length ball outside off swinging away, the batsman gets the outside edge this time towards deep third man for a single.
9.1 L Selvan to S Joshi, full ball on the leg stump swinging in, the batsman gets the inside edge towards a very fine long leg for a single.
End of the penultimate over
UCC 49/4
Extras Given : 5
It's done and dusted by now. The last over is nothing more than a formality with 40 runs needed from 6 balls. Even 6 sixes are not enough!
8.6 S Ramakrishnan to EM Mohiuddin, FOUR! Slower full toss on the pads, the batsman swings wildly and ends up getting the inside edge that trickles down to the fine leg fence for a boundary. Fortunate but not enough to cause any impact over the end-result of the match.
8.5 S Ramakrishnan to S Joshi, length ball on the leg stump tapped to mid on for a quick single.
8.4 S Ramakrishnan to EM Mohiuddin, full ball on the off stump, the batsman goes for the big heave but gets the outside edge towards deep point for a single.
8.3 S Ramakrishnan to S Joshi, length ball on the leg stump nudged to deep mid-wicket for a single
8.2 S Ramakrishnan to S Joshi, FOUR! length ball on the off stump, the batsman waits for the ball and slashes it through the point region for a boundary. It looks like too little too late!
8.1 S Ramakrishnan to EM Mohiuddin, full ball on the leg stump driven firmly to long on for a single.
8.1 S Ramakrishnan to EM Mohiuddin, WIDE ball sliding down the leg side.
At the end of the 8th over
UCC 36/4
53 runs needed from 12 balls
Sharan brought back for his 2nd over.
7.6 L Selvan to EM Mohiuddin, length ball on the leg stump that raps the batsman on the pads and trickles down to long leg for a single.
7.5 L Selvan to C Sharma, OUT! TIMBER! Yorker on the off stump swinging in, the batsman goes for the big slog across the line but misses completely. The ball snacks in under the bat and crashes into the sticks!
The pressure is telling over the batsman and the wickets column is showing just that. Another one bites the dust.
