Commentary
That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose and my colleague, Sameer Deodhar, signing off.
PRS were sent in to BAT first, and they did look well initially. The first 3 overs got them to 28/1 and were looking set to reach a formidable total. But as the innings progressed, PRS batsmen seemed to lose their feet from the match. Runs were hard to come by and the batsmen were not even able to keep the scoreboard ticking after getting a good start from the powerplay overs. Opener Satyajit scored 13 from 8 balls, while Skipper Prasanna never really got going. He top-scored with 15 from 22 balls and Kranthi put in a useful cameo at the end with 14 from 13 balls. From the bowling department, Deshmoyni and Kushal Mendon took 1 wicket each while others were also on their mark putting in economic overs throughout the innings. PRS reached 74/3 from their 10 overs.
Chasing 75 can be a bit tricky, but PCC openers got rid of their nerves and blazed shots all around the park. They claimed 19 from the first over. Soon Sharan departed the very next over and PRS got a glimmer of hope. Skipper Wickramasekara came into the middle and made sure that his team did not mess around with the chase. He took no prisoners and hit boundaries for fun. The skipper produced a gallant unbeaten knock of 39 from 22 balls to guide his team home. Opener Kushal Mendon also contributed a useful 14 off 12 balls to the scorecard. For the bowling team, Satyajit and Iqbal claimed 1 wicket each but there was really not enough runs on the board for the PRS bowlers to exert any sort of pressure. PCC reached 77/2 from 7.2 overs with skipper Wickramasekara whacking it out of the park to seal the deal.

PCC complete a resounding performance and win the match by 8 wickets, recording their 1st victory of the tournament.
