That brings us to the end of our coverage from this encounter. Till the next time, this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Bidipto Datta.
It turned out to be a rather straightforward victory for the Malo Qalandars as the score or 166 proved to be more than enough. Rana Sarwar and Aitzaz Arshad came out in the middle and the former was dismissed in the first over. However Rao Imran came out all guns blazing and was supported well by Aitzaz Arshad as well. They scored at a very brisk race but unfortunately none of them could continue the good work and gave their wickets away after scoring 20 off 8 and 7 balls respectively.
Simranjeet Singh also looked in good touch but the main issue was the lack of partnerships. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and that didn't give Punjab CC the opportunity to keep going after the target. Qasim Anwar also looked in good touch during his brief stage and made 21 off 11 deliveries. It was the over from Mian Shahid where he picked two wickets turned the game on its head while Syed Maisam also bagged two important wickets and Malo Qalandars ended up winning by 42 runs

9.6 Syed Maisam to Shad Ali, AND THAT WILL BE ALL OVER FOR PUNJAB CC! MALO QALANDARS GO THROUGH TO THE SECOND QUALIFIER! Length ball on middle-stump. Slammed to the non-striker. It takes the bat of his and rolls down to the long-on region for a single only!
9.5 Syed Maisam to Gurjit Singh, full and following the batter on the pads. A miss of the drive on the up but they get a leg-bye to the square-leg region instead.
9.4 Syed Maisam to Shad Ali, length ball on off-and-middle. A hoisted shot over the mid-on region for just the single.
9.3 Syed Maisam to Gurjit Singh, good length ball on off-stump. A mistimed hoick to the long-on area on the up for a single only.
9.2 Syed Maisam to Qasim Anwar, THIS IS OUT! Good length ball around off-stump. A thick outside edge over the in-field but down to deep cover point on the full. Neatly taken there by the fielder!
9.1 Syed Maisam to Shad Ali, DROPPED! Good length ball around off-stump. A miscued shot that goes straight up in the air. The bowler goes to his left and puts down a sitter this time! One run.

8.6 Najam Shahzad to Shad Ali, full toss on leg-stump. Whipped off the back foot to the deep square-leg region for a single to keep strike.
8.5 Najam Shahzad to Qasim Anwar, length ball around off-stump. Stroked away from the crease to the deep cover point area for a single.
8.4 Najam Shahzad to Shad Ali, full around off-stump. A mistimed hoick to the long-on area from the crease. One run taken.
8.3 Najam Shahzad to Faisal Mushtaq, OH! GOOD RETURN CATCH! Hard length ball on off-stump. Mushtaq clears the front leg and splices it straight back to the bowler on the full. Najam takes it easily in his follow through!
8.2 Najam Shahzad to Qasim Anwar, full toss on middle-stump. Driven away to the long-off area on the up for a single only.
8.2 Najam Shahzad to Qasim Anwar, WIDE outside the line of off-stump here! Time to reload this one.
8.1 Najam Shahzad to Qasim Anwar, OH! Full toss around off-stump. A swing and a miss across the line. The batters decide to take a bye, the ball then misses the stumps and the bowler and that allows for the batters to take the second run! But, it was a close shave at the non-striker's end with the direct hit! AND WELL, THE THIRD UMPIRE SAYS THAT IT IS A RUN OUT! Tariq goes.
That's a top over from Adnan Gondal in the context of the game. Runs coming in just singles in that over along with a massive six but Gondal had the final laugh by getting the wicket of Adnan Ali on the final delivery of the over. The equation is very steep at this stage.

7.6 Adnan Gondal to Adnan Ali, GONE! Really full around off-stump. Hoisted from deep in the crease to go over the bowler's left. All Adnan Ali did was find mid-off who came in, kept his eyes on the ball and completed the high catch!
