Typical old Delhi morning. The pitch doesn't change much, there are footmarks, won't turn much and the odd ball is keeping low. There will be a seam movement still on offer. Things might change by Tea today, but the pitch will play well today too.

With this victory and the bonus point, Delhi will climb the charts and finish 3rd in Group D. Though, it would not be enough for them to make it to the quarterfinals. Depending on the result of Chhattisgarh vs Chandigarh, Railways are likely to finish 7th. For both teams, it has been a tough season. However, there are some positives to be taken for either sides. It would be up for the managements to take note and build upon them for a better returns in the next edition of the Ranji Trophy.
Before we wrap up, here are some interesting facts about the man who made his name known to the entire community of Indian cricket fans yesterday:-

1:28pm IST - Delhi win by an innings and 19 runs
Session Summary: 11.5 overs, 44 runs, 5 wickets.
That brings us to the end of a match that will perhaps be talked about for a while to come. The joy ride hit made turbo and galloped along to a rather abrupt finish. On a wicket that looked good for batting for the major part of the last two days, the Railways were somehow derailed in just 30.5 overs of the second innings and ended up losing the match by an innings and 19 runs.
Go through the dismissals and it would tell you that it was more poor shot making that gremlins in the pitch that accounted for the collapse. Perhaps, only Upendra Yadav can claim that he was hard done by the one that kept low.
It has been a match that several players will look back at fondly, for it helped enhance their stature in front of a much larger audience than usual. If you've followed our coverage over the last 3 days, you know well about the unprecedented fanfare that has surrounded this game. Fans had started queueing up outside the gates as early as 3am on Day 1. DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma narrated the tale of how he and his team had to open up more stands than planned at the eleventh hour. He also mentioned that in over three decades of his association with the tournament, he had never seen such hype.
All of that was due to one man — Virat Kohli. Every time he would be shown on the big screen, a deafening loud cheer would reverberate around the stadium. The chants of "Kohli Kohli" were the theme of this fixture. Alas, the showstopper's innings with the bat in hand could only last 15 balls. Himanshu Sangwan, the man who uprooted his off-stump, has become a name well-known among Indian cricket fans now. Another bloke who quietly went on to make a name for himself is Sumit Mathur, who played a sturdy innings with the bat and made valuable contributions with the ball and in the field. Upendra Yadav, Ayush Badoni and Shivam Sharma are some others who had a match worth remembering.
Looks like Anchit Yadav will not come out to bat. So, that is the end of the match.
30.5 Ayush Badoni to Kunal Yadav, OUT! Yadav skipped out of his crease and tried to wield the long handle. The ball ballooned up off the outside edge and the backward point only had to take a couple of steps to his right before pouching it in his safe palms.
30.4 Ayush Badoni to Kunal Yadav, dot ball. Flatter, quicker, at the stumps. Kunal rocks back and presents a steadfast defence.
30.3 Ayush Badoni to Ayan Chaudhari, single. Good length, at the wickets. The batter glances it towards the front of square leg and picks one.
30.2 Ayush Badoni to Ayan Chaudhari, APPEAL FOR LBW! Not given. Chaudhari tried to go for the reverse sweep but failed to execute it. The umpire thinks he got some bat on it though.
30.1 Ayush Badoni to Ayan Chaudhari, LONG HOP! STAYS LOW BUT DOES NOT MATTER! Chaudhari cleared his front leg and slammed it towards long-on for four.
Delhi's highest wicket-taker of the season — Ayush Badoni, right arm off spin, will bowl now.
