That is all we have from this cracker jack of a contest. The World Cup fun continues as Australia take on New Zealand tomorrow in the first SUper 12 game while England will square off against Afghanistan in the 2nd match of the day. Craig Ervine (Captain, Zimbabwe): Look, I don't think anybody can explain what it means to us. Had the whole country behind us and well deserved for the boys to get through. I needed Raz to come and play that sort of an innings. I knew if I batted all the way and get the singles and doubles, Raz will do it at the other end. The support for us has been special. The support in Townsville was incredible and to see our supporters follow us all the way is an incredible feeling.

Richie Berrington (Captain, Scotland): Obviously disappointing not to get over the line, felt we were 25-30 runs short at least. We've played a lot lot of good cricket this tournament, just disappointing we couldn't execute with the bat this game in the first innings. I think we can away proudly with the kind of performances we've put in, lot of positives to take from this World Cup.

Sikandar Raza has been adjudged the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Credit to Scotland for making it tough for us, they certainly played some better cricket, unfortunaely we've been part of too many tournaments which is cut through, credit to Scotland. In my heart, once we bowled well, one of us had to get the job done, I love that it was my turn but loved the way Ervine played and the two youngsters in the end finished it for us, quite satisfying and humbling. I said to Craig, your job is to bat through and my job is to make that one easy, I took my chances and it came off. They are a small group but you can't really make it out with the sound they've been making, they carry all the emotions from back home, credit to them to respresent Zimbabwe.

A relatively straightforward win for Zimbabwe as they go through to the Super 12s in a dominant fashion. Riding on the back of brilliant knocks from skipper Sean Ervine and Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe managed to chase down the below-par target in the over. Brad Wheal and Josh Davey kept Scotland in the game with the early wickets of Regis Chakabva and Wesley Madhevere to reduce them to 7/2 inside the 2nd over.

It was just the start, Scotland would have been hoping for, at the halfway stage. The powerplay belonged to them with Zimbabwe struggling to get going. However, skipper Craig Ervine who was coming into the match after missing the previous one took the onus on himself to steady the ship and tried to build a partnership with Sean Williams. The latter was dismissed in an attempt to play the big shot but from there on it was all Zimbabwe.

Sikandar Raza carried on his rich vein of form with the bat and took the attack to the Scotland bowlers right away. He smashed three fours and a couple of sixes during his breezy knock of 40 off just 23 deliveries. He was batting on a different planet and was hardly troubled by the Scottish bowlers. By the time, Raza was dismissed the match was almost in Zimbabwe's pocket.

Ervine was there at the other end and went on to complete a brilliant half-century but couldn't quite take his side over the finishing line. He was dismissed with Zimbabwe still needing 14 off the last 18 deliveries. Milton Shumba batted sensibly towards the end while Ryan Burl smashed a boundary down the mid-on region to seal the deal for Zimbabwe.

Earlier in the day it was the Scotland skipper Richie Berrington who won the toss and opted to bat. The Scotland batters struggled all the way through. Tendai Chatara was quite brilliant, bagging a couple of crucial wickets while Richard Ngarava also took two wickets.

The spin duo of Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams were right on the mark and didn't allow the batters to cut loose. For Scotland, George Munsey was the top scorer with a knock of 54 off just 51 deliveries.

That seals the game for Zimbabwe as they qualify and go through to the Super 12s as the winners of the group. Incredible stuff from the African nation and the celebrations will start here. An emphatic victory in the end and despite being tested early on, the experienced duo of Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza took them to touching distance of the victory target before some sensible batting from Milton Shumba and Ryan Burl took them over the finishing line.

18.3 Safyaan Sharif to Ryan Burl, FOUR! ZIMBABWE ARE THROUGH TO SUPER 12! Scotland crash out of the World Cup, disappointing end for them in this edition. Burl effortlessly spanks the length delivery well over mid-on fielder who times his jump but can't get to it, runs away for the boundary.

18.2 Safyaan Sharif to Milton Shumba, short into Shumba, gets on top of the bounce, pulls it over square-leg, not in control but doesn't carry to the fielder in the deep either as they pick up another single.

18.1 Safyaan Sharif to Ryan Burl, length delivery on the off-stump, Burl drilled it to mid-off, takes off immediately and makes it well in time for one.

8 runs off that 18th over and Zimbabwe just needs 6 runs of the final 12 deliveries.
