Bangladesh had started off brilliantly with Mohammed Nazimuddin taking on the South Africa Legend bowlers, before he was dismissed by Tshabalala. It was the Aftab Ahmed and Hassan Sarkar show from then on, with the two putting on a 61-run stand. At that stage, Bangladesh looked set to get to around 170-180, but collapse of sorts from the Bangladesh middle order left them stranded at 160, with just 10 runs for 5 wickets towards the end.

It was a masterclass of a run chase by South Africa Legends, led by their openers, Andrew Puttick and Morne van Wyk. The two former wicket-keepers put on a mammoth 161-run stand, the highest in the tournament, as they notched up their respective half-centuries to complete a proper thrashing, to send their side to the semi-finals of the tournament! The only cause of concern for the Proteas Legends will be the niggle to Jonty Rhodes and they'll be hoping he can be fit for the semis.

Just one game remaining in the playoff stages, with England and West Indies battling out in a virtual knockout game tommorrow, to cement their spot in the semi-finals. Do join Sportskeeda for updates from that game and more cricketing action around the world. That's it from myself, Pratyush and my colleague Soorya! Take care and stay safe, see ya!
Andrew Puttick (Man of the Match) : Tried to keep it simple. Got off to a nice start and kept going till the end. The pitch was really good and it was great batting with Morne as he kept me calm. Middle overs we wanted to push them in the field. I'm not a big hitter so we were happy to take the ones and twos. We wanted to take it deep and finish it ourselves because a few of our guys are carrying a few niggles. Probably wanted to finish it off a bit quicker than we did. Luckily we’re still standing and will look to do it again. It’s going to be awesome, can’t wait for the semi-finals.
Jonty Rhodes : I think I turned the clock a bit too far. Fortunately we’ve got a few days before the game and we'll see how it responds. It's important to not assess an injury straightaway and give it some time. Pretty good to have the 10-wicket win, hats off to Bangladesh, they pushed us today. Looked convincing but could have been interesting if we lost wickets but it was brilliant with some good running. We spoke about their weakness in the middle order and not panic, so we can curtail them towards the end. The Sri Lanka Legends are practicing too hard and hopefully we’re ready. They’re playing well but a couple of players are carrying them and we’ll have to watch for that.
Khalid Mahmud : We started well but can't finish the innings, that's been our major problem in the tournament.  We have power hitters but too many dot balls in the middle. Crucial run out of Mashud was upsetting because we were going good at that stage. Nothing too upsetting between Mashud and Rafique, we take it on the chin. Maybe we could find better lengths, the dew didn’t help and it wasn’t gripping but credit to Puttick, he was excellent, didn’t take any chances and picked the right moment. Great to be here. A couple of games could have been better. We didn’t train too hard and didn’t practice enough and will hopefully do better we’re here next time,
A textbook run chase, if there was ever one! Andrew Puttick and Morne van Wyk always seemed in command throughout that innings as they put up the highest partnership in the tournament to thump the Bangladesh Legends, without losing a wicket. Both the openers switched roles as anchor and aggressor, picking their bowlers to attack and finish it off in style! Bangladesh have bowed out of this tournament after a decent performance with the ball, but nothing to trouble the pair of Puttick and van Wyk, who cruised through that run chase, in classical old-school fashion. Stay tuned as we bring you the presentations..
Andrew Puttick finishes it off in style! South Africa Legends won by 10 wickets and seal the third place spot, to go through to the semi-finals! Never looked in panic or worried for a second in that run chase, as they thumped the Bangladesh Legends bowlers all over the park.
Over: 20 | Summary: 1 4 Bowler: Khaled Mahmud Score: 0/0
19.2 Khaled Mahmud to Morne van Wyk, FOUR! THAT'S HOW YOU FINISH THE GAME! It's a hamstrung van Wyk with the winning runs - In the slot and all van Wyk does is clear his front leg to thump it over the bowler's head - into the fence on the bounce! SOUTH AFRICA LEGENDS THUMP BANGLADESH LEGENDS BY 10 WICKETS WITH 4 DELIVERIES TO SPARE! What a thumping victory with two hamstrung warriors doing the job for their team!
19.1 Khaled Mahmud to Andrew Puttick, SENT BACK! Round the wicket, full at the stumps, tucked on the up towards mid-wicket and Puttick was quick off the blocks; he wanted a second but his partner rightfully turned it down
The partnership is now over 150 and it's been a splendid knock by these two men to put their side firmly in charge, right start the start. What a perfectly paced chase this has been! Can Bangladesh pull a rabbit out of the hat?

South Africa Legends need 5 runs in 6 balls.
Over: 19 | Summary: 2 1 1 4 2 1 Bowler: Abdur Razzak Score: 156/0
18.6 Abdur Razzak to Andrew Puttick, short and wide, cut away off the back foot behind point but the man in the deep picks up; they will take only a single. The equation is 5 off 6 balls now!
18.5 Abdur Razzak to Andrew Puttick, slogs this full delivery on the pads through the square leg region and almost finds the gap but there is protection in the deep; they race back for a second run
18.4 Abdur Razzak to Andrew Puttick, FOUR! There's the boundary South Africa Legends needed! In the slot on off, Puttick brings out a slog sweep and bisects the gap perfectly square on the leg-side; 150-run stand up!
18.3 Abdur Razzak to Morne van Wyk, OH DEAR! MISSES OUT ON A JUICY FULL TOSS! van Wyk looks to paddle it fine but skews it off the top edge down towards the fielder at short 45 as they cross over
18.2 Abdur Razzak to Andrew Puttick, too full at the stumps, driven on the up towards long on for yet another single - been a feature of this innings
18.1 Abdur Razzak to Andrew Puttick, tossed up too full on off, Puttick mistimes a slog sweep along the cow corner region where the fielders converge; THEY CHARGE BACK FOR A SECOND and a poor throw allows them to make their ground with ease
Abdur Razzak comes back into the attack.
The running between the wickets, even at this stage of the innings, has been commendable by the South African Legends. Perhaps an indication of their fitness levels, which is brilliant to see! This one's going down the wire, even after an exceptional batting performance from the South Africans, a wicket or two could change the entire dynamic of this match.

South Africa Legends need 16 runs in 12 balls.
