Jonty Rhodes, captain of South Africa Legends:
We did feel light on practice and the Sri Lankans were excellent with changing the pace and hopefully we will learn from it and come back strong. We gotta take ownership and be better. Some great skill bowling from them and we just kept losing wickets which didn't help.

Tillakaratne Dilshan, captain of Sri Lanka Legends: Very important game for us today and we started really well and we carried that momentum throughout the game. I wanted to bowl at the start so that Dhammika can bowl later and it worked today. Herath has always been a champion and he has been doing for that for the country for the last 20 years. We have niggles but still we want to do our best and as a captain I'm really happy with how the team is doing at the moment.

Rangana Herath is the Player of the Match for his 2/11 from 4 overs.
Comprehensive, dominant, easy, use all the adjectives you want, but this has been an outstanding display from the Sri Lanka Legends, who have beaten the South Africa Legends by a whopping margin of 9 wickets and had 40 balls to spare.

For the Sri Lanka Legends, it was their captain Tillakaratne Dilshan who top-scored with an unbeaten 50 off 40 balls and he was in some spanking form, using his full range of explosive strokeplay to hit the ball to all corners of the ground which had made him such a fearsome batsman in world cricket. He was well supported by Upul Tharanga, who remained unbeaten at 27 off 31 balls, while the only wicket to fall was that of the explosive Sanath Jayasuriya, who scored just 8 runs off 9 balls before being dismissed.

For the South Africa Legends, the only bowler to take a wicket was Garnett Kruger, who had figures of 1/23 in 3 overs, while there wasn't much else from the other bowlers, with Makhaya Ntini bowling 2 overs for 0/5, while Nantie Hayward was 0/18 from 2 overs, Zander de Bruyn having 0/19 in 2 overs, Thandi Tshabalala conceding 12 runs in 2.2 overs and Alviro Petersen conceded 10 runs from 2 overs.

The Sri Lanka Legends deserved this win today, for the sheer brilliance they displayed on the field today, which set the tone for the bowlers to build up the pressure on the South Africa Legends batting lineup.
