Mohammed Rizwan (Pakistan Captain) : Absolutely, this has been a team game from the start to the end. Different players stepped up and I could not have asked for more. The idea behind my partnership with Babar Azam was to take things slowly and that allowed Kamran to do what he produced at the end, for which he deserves a lot of credit as well. That kind of innings was a great sight. I always had the belief in him but he over exceeded even my expectations. He comes from a similar area as mine back in home, from Peshawar and this is a wonderful effort from him.
Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): Probably, the first 25 overs we thought we were in control. Didn't have wickets but the run-rate was under check. Next 25 overs we conceded too many. We will have conversations about that. Wasn't a lot on offer for the bowlers, just a little bit grip. In hindsight, will stick to the decision at the toss. (On not converting starts) As batters, that is where we let ourselves down. We know as a batting unit, when we are batting well have to get to the three figure mark. Need to convert those starts into match-winning contributions.

What an eventful last couple of overs! There was a battle within a battle with Klaasen trying to get to his century but all done and said, this is a terrific result for a subcontinent side to defeat South Africa in South Africa, specially after losing the T20I series comprehensively.
The first ball of the chase saw Shaheen Afridi stray down the leg side which was duly put away by the South African skipper, Temba Bavuma, for a boundary. Naseem Shah's first ball produced the edge from Bavuma's bat in the 2nd over of the innings but it fell just short of the first slip fielder. But the pacer got his man later in the spell to make the first breakthrough with Bavuma walking back for 12.
van der Dussen showed some excellent running between the wickets which would have been another key area of this chase. Abrar did not take long to impact the game as he knocked over de Zorzi in only his 2nd over of the match. The chief destroyer from last match, Salman Ali Agha, came into the attack in the 17th over and picked up van der Dussen in his first over itself as the Asian side continued taking wickets at regular intervals.
No batter, barring Klaasen, faced more than 40 balls. This makes it difficult while chasing 330. No stand went past 50 till the 5th wicket partnership between Klaasen and Miller. David Miller spent his first 50 minutes in the batting crease scoring 18 runs from 35 balls, without any boundaries. But he freed his arms to deposit Salman Agha for a six over cover in the 33rd over, only a ball after Klaasen brought up his 2nd successive fifty in the series - 8th overall in his ODI career.
The return of Shaheen Afridi in the 34th over saw Miller smash him to the cover boundary but the pacer returned strongly to cut him in half and pick up the faintest of edges, which required a DRS to overturn the umpire's not out decision and send the danger man back. Agha sent down all of his 10 overs in a single spell and Klaasen deposited him for consecutive sixes in his last over.
In the end, it was a bit too much for the hosts as Pakistan win their 3rd consecutive ODI series away from home over the last couple of months, after victories in Australian and Zimbabwean shores before this. Presentations to follow!
43.1 Naseem Shah to Heinrich Klaasen, KLAASEN MISSES HIS SECOND CHANCE AS WELL! GONE FOR 97! Short of a length and angling in, Klaasen jabs it to deep mid-wicket where Irfan Khan takes the catch comfortably this time. This gets Pakistan a 81-run win and a 2-0 unassailable lead over South Africa in this ODI series. They have managed to beat Australia in Australia and South Africa in South Africa over a matter of a few weeks.

Shamsi's single off his first ball was applauded by some of the Proteas fans in the stadium as it gives an opportunity for Klaasen. It led to a drop which led to the fans absolutely chuffed. That was an extremely eventful over.

This resulted in a run-out chance at the bowler's end but Shaheen Afridi failed to gather the ball.
