That's it from here, hope you enjoyed the coverage. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Rajarshi signing off
Sreevats Goswami (Southern Super Stars captain) - Life is good. I was scared - We won the first two matches and we don't want to lose the first one in my captaincy. Today was exceptional. The bowlers were superb and executed as per the plan. Mendis didn't bowl. When you have so much options, it makes my job easier. The best part is that we have the core group intact. We won matches, so the bond will get better.
Hamilton Masakadza (Legend of the Match) - That's a secret. I have played a few club Cricket back home and I am striking the ball really well. We just stick to what we do inside the first six and maximise the powerplay. And we did that. I was ready to go today
Shikhar Dhawan (Gujarat Greats captain): We were less by 20-25 runs, should have scored more. That's why they didn't have pressure chasing. It's not an easy wicket to bat on, especially in aT20 where you have to take risks. Their spinners are quite good, they know where to bowl, that's where they are taking the advantage. Hopefully the wicket is better over there (Surat) more of a flat wicket would help in playing better T20 cricket.
Southern Super Stars won by 8 wickets
Negi seals it in style and the Superstars' red-hot form continues as they picked up their third consecutive victory. They are proving to be the team to beat in this competition. After a hard-fought against the Indian Capitals, the Super Stars produced a clinical performance in all facets off the game. Restricting an opposition to a below-par score, Guptill scored a couple of boundaries in the first over but his stay was short-lived
His departure led to an impact player to arrive to the crease and it was Hamilton Maskadza. He was unstoppable from the word go, showcasing his range of shots on both sides. His assault inside the powerplay helped the Super Stars to finish on a strong note. Shikhar's bowling changes to stop Masakadza didn't reap rewards until Quadri got rid of him
His onslaught put his team in cruise control and made things easier for Negi and Goswami to finish the formalities quickly. This is a comprehensive victory and they stay on top with six points
14.3 Seekkuge Prasanna to Pawan Negi, SIX TO FINISH THE GAME OFF! Nicely tossed up around off stump, Negi ran down the wicket, got to the pitch, and mowed it through the line, sending the ball towards the sightscreen. The Superstars complete a double over the Greats!
14.2 Seekkuge Prasanna to Shreevats Goswami, flung in full on the pads, Goswami has a swing at it, gets it towards deep backward square for a run
14.1 Seekkuge Prasanna to Shreevats Goswami, flung in on a length around off, Goswami lunges forward and blocks this one
Goswami has played a captain's knock in this run chase. He has a chance to finish this match in style!

13.4 Liam Plunkett to Shreevats Goswami, length on leg stump, Goswami, cramped for room, dabs this straight at the fielder at short third. Just the single
13.3 Liam Plunkett to Shreevats Goswami, Goswami was down the wicket early, Plunkett saw that and banged this in short, following him. Goswami had to sway away from the ball eventually
13.2 Liam Plunkett to Shreevats Goswami, back of a length on middle and leg, Goswami hops on his toes and dabs this towards deep third. A terrible throw from the deep, no immediate backup up, and so, the batters get two
