Commentary

That’s the end of the match and it has been a sensational run chase for Spain. They win by 5 wickets and with a couple of deliveries to spare. The run-chase didn’t really take off in the powerplay but Hamza Saleem Dar made sure that the match turned on it’s head as he smashed a quickfire 46 off 14 deliveries which included 3 fours and five sixes.

The Italy bowlers bowled in the correct channels and never allowed the batting team to press on the accelerator in the initial stages. However, with the introduction of Hamza Saleem Dar at the crease, it was carnage on display as the match went out of Italy’s grasp.

Yasir Ali, opening the battings scored 28 off 18 deliveries which laid the foundation for Spain. It was Christian Munoz-Mills who finished the match with back-to-back sixes, remaining unbeaten on 12 off 12 deliveries.
