Post-Match Comments: -

Tino Best, West Indies Legends: - Wasn't enough runs. 170-175 may have been better. Very good batting wicket. Playing such a quality team like SL, have to put more runs. Felt good, felt strong. Haven't bowled in a year, Competitive juices get in.

Tillakaratne Dilshan, Sri Lanka Legends Captain: - Want to thank the organising committee and those behind the scenes. Hope to carry this form until the final. Good toss to win with the dew factor. WI have a quality spin attack and dew worked against them. Tharanga is an experienced player. We both opened for SL. He batted really well. The best thing is he finished the game.

Upul Tharanga, Man of the Match: - Pitch was really good. We got a good start. Me and Dilshan had a really good partnership. We bowled really well. The only thing we lacked was in the fielding.
The Sri Lanka Legends have cantered to a 5-wicket win, despite a late hiccup with the previous Tino Best over and they've made relatively easy work of this 158-run target and getting to 160/5 in 19 overs.

For the Sri Lanka Legends, the captain Tillakaratne Dilshan started off the chase with a flurry of Dilscoops and booming drives, as he had a 37-ball 47 to show, with his opening batting partner Sanath Jayasuriya not hitting his straps effectively, scoring just 12 off 14 balls, but it was Upul Tharanga anchored and took control of this chase with a lot of effectiveness, scoring an unbeaten 53 from 35 balls at a very good strike-rate of 151.4 and he had the useful support of Chamara Silva, who provided some thrust in the middle overs, with a 15-ball 22 to his name, while there wasn't much else from the other Sri Lankan batsmen, with Russel Arnold coming in towards the end and staying unbeaten on 5.

The West Indies Legends bowling attack did give their all, but fell short, with Sulieman Benn the pick of the bowlers with a superb spell of 2/19 in his 4 overs, while Tino Best getting 2/22 in 3 overs, while Ryan Austin was the other wicket-taker in this innings but came in for a little bit of a tap from the batsmen, with figures of 1/41 in his 4 overs. But there wasn't much else from the other bowlers, with Adam Sanford being taken around for runs and having figures of 0/41 in 4 overs, while Pedro CollinsDwayne SmithNarsingh DeonarineMahendra Nagamootoo all bowling 1 over each, but didn't do much.

The Sri Lankan Legends really dominated this game from the start to the finish & didn't let the West Indies Legends have a sniff.
Over: 19 | Summary: 1 4 0 1lb 4 4 Bowler: Adam Sanford Score: 160/5
18.6 Adam Sanford to Upul Tharanga, FOUR! Wraps up the game with a boundary and brings up his fifty in the process! Sanford slides this full on middle and off, Tharanga shuffles across and flicks it elegantly behind square on the leg side where the fielder in the deep was positioned too square to stand a chance! All over here in Raipur as Sri Lanka Legends romp home by 5 wickets with 6 deliveries to spare!
18.5 Adam Sanford to Upul Tharanga, FOUR! Just over the fielder at point! This was overpitched around the off stumps Tharanga gave himself room too carve it through the point region. The ball went just over the point fielder and trickled away to the boundary! Just two required now to seal this game!
18.4 Adam Sanford to Russel Arnold, into the blockhole outside leg stump, Arnold looks to flick but the ball skews away off his front pad behind point. They pick up a leg bye
18.3 Adam Sanford to Russel Arnold, short and width on offer but Arnold is undone by the lack of bounce on this. Looks to cut and ends up missing out!
18.2 Adam Sanford to Russel Arnold, FOUR! Dishes out a friendly full toss outside off and Arnold thumps it behind point and finds the fence. Brings up the 150 for the Lankans! Lara not at all happy with his bowler
18.1 Adam Sanford to Upul Tharanga, back of a length outside off, Tharanga leans into a comfortable push through the point region
A very good over from Tino Best, as he concedes just 6 runs and takes a couple of wickets, with Sri Lanka Legends now 146/5 after 18 overs and need 12 runs in 12 balls. This could be shaping into a really interesting final 2 overs of the game.

Another change in bowling, as Adam Sanford returns to the attack to bowl the penultimate over of the game.
Over: 18 | Summary: 1w 1 1w W 1w W 1 1 0 Bowler: Tino Best Score: 146/5
17.6 Tino Best to Russel Arnold, pitched outside leg and the extra pace from Best means that it thuds quickly onto the batsman's pads! Appeal for LBW turned down and Arnold charges down only to return as the fielder picks up and hits the stumps on the full. Well in though. In fact just landed his bat as the replay shows!
17.5 Tino Best to Upul Tharanga, back of a length on off, pushed off the back foot by Tharanga through the cover region. Another single taken
17.4 Tino Best to Russel Arnold, full length delivery in the channel, Arnold pushes off the front foot towards the covers to get underway
This game is turning on its head now, as Tino Best burns through Ajantha Mendis' prod & takes down his stumps in a jiffy and that move to send him up the order looks more ludicrous by the second now. Sri Lanka Legends are now 144/5 and need 14 runs in 15 balls, which is still easily gettable, with the left-handed batsman Russel Arnold at the crease now.
17.3 Tino Best to Ajantha Mendis, OUT! IT'S A HARMONIC PROGRESSION! Another wide followed by the sound of timber! Back of a length and fired in at full throttle on middle and off, Mendis plants his blade off the back foot but is left high and dry as he is beaten for pace!
17.3 Tino Best to Ajantha Mendis, WIDE! Best blowing hot and cold and is unable to find a consistent line here! Fires another one down the leg-side. Third wide of the over
As accurate and quick as it could be & Tino Best has hammered the timbers of Chintaka Jayasinghe out of place and there's another twist in the tale here possibly, with Sri Lanka Legends 143/4 after 17.2 overs and still need 17 runs in 16 balls.

The new batsman at the crease is AJANTHA MENDIS, which really is a bit too much of a surprise, considering that he's known more for his bowling...Dilshan is taking a gamble here.
17.2 Tino Best to Chintaka Jayasinghe, OUT! TIMBER! Full and angling into the stumps, Jayasinghe looking to slog this one into Mars but just connects with the air above him as the ball crashes into his woodwork! Is there life left in this game?
