Pitch Report
We are playing on the same surface. Straight hit is 68 metre and towards the shorter side is 63 metres. I want to thank the groundsmen. Wicket have been consistent over the last few years. Looking at 230-240 based on the conditions. Again before getting into team plans, we have got some data and force batters to play towards the larger boundary. The opposition took us down last game.

That's all we have from this contest as I, Lavil Saldanha alongside my colleague and friend, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty, take your leave. Do check Sportskeeda for the latest content in the world of sports. Until next time, it is goodbye from our side, SEE YA!
Imran Tahir (captain, Guyana Amazon Warriors): I can expect anything from the team, that is the belief I had. I saw the pitch and said that we rather put runs on the board and put them under pressure. Gurbaz and Sinclair did well, with Sinclair playing after a long time. We did what we thought to do before the game and were happy. You cannot do anything if the guy is playing such shots. It is a small ground and a hit will help you score. I said to the bowler, that if they chased it, it would be a brilliant effort from them. Keemo got a breakthrough and despite having Shepherd injured, it was a good bowling effort. As a leader, everyone looks at what you do. I gave Junior Sinclair a couple of overs in the powerplay. I kept my overs late and didn't have it mind that I need to pick up wickets. I wanted to keep Motie's overs because of the form he has been in
Andre Fletcher (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots captain): Honestly it is very tough. Playing at our home around, knowing the conditions, knowing there is a wind factor and bowling like this is unacceptable. I might be sounding harsh but the bowlers have to start executing the plans. When you have runs leaking on both sides it's very difficult to set a field. They capitalised on our bad deliveries. We have to do better on our home conditions. The wicket is good both bathing first and bathing second. It's about execution. We as a batting unit are comfortable chasing 220. I told Nortje that if you can keep them to 220 we could chase this down. A very dropped chances as well. We were going well but we lost it a bit when Sherfane got out. There were both Sinclairs which was my match up and Motie was Sherfane's match up. If he had gone for that a bit later, it could have been different. We tried as a batting unit. I can't drop my head and have to try and encourage my players. We have to more games here and the franchise, the owner and the people needs us to win those two games. I am quite happy, would have been nicely if I could have taken by side over the line. For the first time I batted in rage (chuckles) might need much of it I guess.
Shimron Hetmyer is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: I think it was an innings of two halves. In the beginning we were going pretty good and had to pull it back a little bit as two wickets fell. At that time a little bit of tiredness came in. Yes this is the first time and it wasn't planned. Wanted to play the ball on its merit. I think it's all about going all out, lot of runs has been scored here in the years before as well. In this particular ground you have to go after your shots, bowlers try to execute and the batters try to post as big a score as possible to provide some cushion to the bowlers. I am clearer in mind and hungrier this year. That's mainly I go about it. Pretty much, I actually told them to see and bowl wide. It is very difficult to cut the ball for a six. When we actually got to the plan, things changed a lot.
Guyana Amazon Warriors beat St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 40 runs
What a win this has been for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. They were expecting their total to be gunned down here at Warner Park but they turned the game on its head and ensured that there were no problems whatsoever.
They struck early by dismissing Evin Lewis, which was a key wicket in this contest. Andre Fletcher and Kyle Mayers joined forces in the middle. Mayers was dropped once but then lost his wicket playing a nothing stroke.
That wicket was the start of a fruitful period for the Patriots. Sherfane Rutherford and Andre Fletcher struck a chord and had an excellent partnership, scoring 65 runs for the 3rd wicket. Rutherford was dismissed and Fletcher kept trying but in vain, losing his wicket as well. Towards the end, Mikyle Louis tried to shave off some runs on board to help them with the net run rate but the Patriots were all out and that was that for them with the bat.
A fine bowling turnaround there from Guyana Amazon Warriors. Imran Tahir picked up a double wicket maiden, while Gudakesh Motie struck gold with the wicket of a hard-hitting Fletcher. Raymon Reifer and Keemo Paul were the other bowlers to pick up a wicket each

17.6 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, CAUGHT! GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS WIN! Length delivery outside the off stump, Pretorious goes pace off and outside the off stump. Louis hits that one up in the air and the man at cover backtracks and takes an easy catch. That's that as Guyana Amazon Warriors beat St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 40 runs.
Mikyle Louis c Shai Hope b Dwaine Pretorius 31(21b,2x4,2x6)
17.5 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, FOUR! Pace off and outside the off stump, Louis hits that one straight back past the bowler and gets another boundary
17.4 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, full and outside the off stump. Louis looks to go big but fails to get enough distance and it falls short of the fielder. No run again
17.3 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, length delivery on the line of the middle and leg stump. Played towards square leg and opted against the run
17.2 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, SIX! Short and wide outside the off stump, Louis walks across to meet that one out of the middle of the bat and send sit sailing over long off fence for a maximum
And just like that, the covers are coming off now. Play to resume soon
The covers are coming on now. We are only a wicket away from this game's conclusion and mother nature makes her presence felt
17.1 Dwaine Pretorius to Mikyle Louis, FOUR! That has been beautifully timed by Louis. On a length well wide outside off which has been carved away past the cover fielder, that has been timed beautifully and that skips away to the fence.
Anrich Nortje, RHB, walks out to the middle and will be down at the non strikers end

16.6 Gudakesh Motie to Veerasammy Permaul, WICKET! That's the 9th wicket gone and the defending champions are a wicket away from winning this. Slowish on a good-length around middle, Permaul tries to smash that across the line, went too hard at that and loses his grip, bat flies in the air so as the ball, gets a top edge and the short third man fielder takes that comfortably.
Veerasammy Permaul c Raymon Reifer b Gudakesh Motie 13(10b,1x4,0x6
16.5 Gudakesh Motie to Mikyle Louis, on a length around middle, Louis comes down the track and sythes it from the inside half of the bat, down towards the long-on region for a single.
16.4 Gudakesh Motie to Veerasammy Permaul, flatter on the fuller side around middle, Permaul hangs back and carves it towards the point region for a single.
16.3 Gudakesh Motie to Mikyle Louis, fuller-length around middle, Louis gets down on one knee and goes for the slog, squirts it off the inside edge towards the long on region for a single.
