Marsta beat Stockholm CC by 76 runs!
Waqas Haider 67* (25) | Ajmal Raza 1/14 Share Ali 59 (19) and 2/20
As was expected, Stockholm CC did not quite manage to chase this huge total of 181 set up by Marsta. They could hardly muster up the courage to go for it and had to suffer from the consequences.
There was a huge gulf in class between these two teams, and Marsta came out on the other end victorious. The massive total set on the board by the star batters of Marsta, led by Waqas Haider and Share Ali ensured that Stockholm could not even get inches closer to what they were supposedly chasing.
Share Ali managed to pick up a couple of wickets with the ball in hand as well, ending up as perhaps the deserving player of the match. This game will torture Stockholm CC for a long time, coming as they did after a rather unharmonious result against Alby Zalmi in their previous game.
Marsta, on the other hand, will be extremely pleased with their showing in this match.

9.6 Fahad Waqas to Ashwin Amalraj, the google on the body, Ashwin has a huge swipe at that but fails to make any connection. The ball raps him on the pads and deflects into the off side as an appeal for lbw is turned down.
9.5 Fahad Waqas to Ashwin Amalraj, SIX MORE! Short and on the body, Ashwin rocks onto the back-foot and hooks that over the long leg region for a huge maximum!
9.4 Fahad Waqas to Ashwin Amalraj, SIX! BOOM! Tossed up and on the middle stump line, Ashwin shuffles across and absolutely bludgeons that over the long on region for a huge maximum!
9.3 Fahad Waqas to Waleed Rasheed, the quicker and flatter one from Waqas and it goes through the keeper's legs as the batters run a single.
9.2 Fahad Waqas to Waleed Rasheed, the googly from Waqas and Rasheed fails to connect with his hoick.
9.1 Fahad Waqas to Waleed Rasheed, tossed up and outside off spinning away, Waleed has a big swing at that but misses. The keeper whips off the bails but Rasheed was inside.
Fahad Waqas, right arm leg break, will bowl the final over.
Stockholm need an improbable 90 runs off the last over! Marsta are all but home here. What a stupendous performance this has been from them- they have held all aces in all three departments of the game so far: batting, bowling and fielding.

8.6 Zairi Baig to Ashwin Amalraj, FOUR! SHOT! Length ball outside off, Ashwin shuffles across, clears his front foot and heaves that away! Wide of the fielder at long on and it races away to the boundary rope!
8.5 Zairi Baig to Waleed Rasheed, short and on the middle stump line angling in, Rasheed pulls that along the carpet towards deep mid-wicket for a single.
Waleed Rasheed, RHB, is in at 6.
8.4 Zairi Baig to Shiva Arsi, OUT! CAUGHT! Full and outside off swinging away, Arsi charges down the track and looks to send it packing. Ends up slicing it in the air and the backtracking point fielder gobbles up a good catch!
Shiva Arsi c Arif Hossain b Zairi Baig 13 (10b 0x4 1x6)
8.3 Zairi Baig to Shiva Arsi, nails the yorker on the middle stump, jammed out into the covers for a single. An overthrow from the fielder there allows the second.
8.2 Zairi Baig to Ashwin Amalraj, very full and on the off stump line, Ashwin drills that down to long on for a single.
8.1 Zairi Baig to Shiva Arsi, a low full toss outside off, Arsi pushes that out into the point region for a quick single.
Eight overs have been bowled, and Stockholm are no longer in contention to win this game. This might end up being a hammering by Marsta to Stockholm. Just a couple of overs to go now.
