It turned out to be a one-sided tussle through and through. In the absence of their senior pros Behrendorff and Richarson, the Scorchers bowlers bowled exceptionally and made life difficult for Sydney Thunder batters. We got a double-header tomorrow and hope it provides us with all the thrills and spills. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Mohul signing off
Perth Scorchers won by 9 wickets
Cameron Bancroft 55(40) | Oliver Davies 52(36)
Andrew Tye 3-27(4) | Nathan McAndrew 1-17(3)

GAME.SET.MATCH. It was a sumptuous all-round display by Perth Scorchers as they steamrolled Syndey Thunder and came out on top with minimum fuss. It's safe to say that this match was finished when the Scorchers' bowlers managed to bowl out Thunder for 111. Everything after that turned out to be a mere formality under the lights. Eskinazi tore the bowlers apart at the start as the Scorchers raced to 38-0 inside the powerplay. Bancroft too played some stunning shots and scored his half-century.

McAndrew picked up the only wicket that fell but that came too late after all the damage was done. It was smooth sailing for the Scorchers right from the start as they take revenge for their defeat to Sydney Thunder earlier
13.0
12.5 Daniel Sams to Aaron Hardie, SIX! THE SCORCHERS WIN! Fullish on middle, Hardie gets into position early and lofts it over long on for a MAXIMUM! This means that the Perth Scorchers win by nine wickets in a game they completely walloped the Thunder!
12.4 Daniel Sams to Cameron Bancroft, at a length on middle and leg, Bancroft swipes it away towards deep square leg off the inside half of his bat for a run.
12.3 Daniel Sams to Cameron Bancroft, at a length on off, Bancroft flicks it towards midwicket for a dot.
12.2 Daniel Sams to Aaron Hardie, at a length on off, Hardie taps it to the off side and rushes off for a run!
12.1 Daniel Sams to Cameron Bancroft, short and into the surface, Bancroft pulls it towards deep square leg for a run.
Daniel Sams (1-0-7-0) comes back into the attack

Two absolute blinders on the field and now a well-calculated half-century - it's turning out to be a great outing for Cameron Bancroft

11.4 Usman Qadir to Aaron Hardie, OOH! FOUR BYES! Wrong one out of the front of the hand, beats Hardie as he tries to work it away to the off side. It also ends up beating keeper Matthew Gilkes, and runs away to the fence. HUNDRED UP FOR THE SCORCHERS!

11.2 Usman Qadir to Cameron Bancroft, FOUR! FIFTY FOR BANCROFT! Rank short delivery on off and middle, Bancroft goes deep inside the crease and pulls it away wide of the fielder at deep midwicket for a boundary to bring up his half century!
11.1 Usman Qadir to Cameron Bancroft, SIX! Tossed up outside off, Bancroft steps down the track and lofts it over long off for a MAXIMUM! The Scorchers are getting closer to the target that they are chasing.
Usman Qadir (2-0-21-0) comes back into the attack

McAndrew was hitting the deck hard and doing his job perfectly but since the target is less and the damage has been done before he was introduced into the attack, he can't make a telling contribution with the ball
