Alice Capsey, Player of the Match: It was a different role that I played today which is pleasing. Played differently yesterday which was fun. It was nice to get some time out in the middle with Kappie. When I come out at 3, it is take on the bowlers and capitalize on the Powerplay overs. We had a ten ball gap between the runs and balls, so we just had to build a partnership. (About facing Sophie Ecclestone) She is World No.1 bowler for a reason and came out on top of me. We have got a couple of days off which is nice, just recover and come back again.

Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals captain): It's not something I have thought about. Just tried to help get a win for the team which was important. Don't think we were at our best. Were sloppy in the field but I guess it is good to win even after playing like that. Think it was similar. It came on better with the new ball. We have one big game to go. Hopefully, we will nail that. We will rest for a couple of days before the final.

Jess Jonassen: It's really cool that it came down to the final day of the league games. For us, making it through to the finals is great. Incredibly proud of the girls with the way we've bounced back. We haven't been at our best and weren't tonight, but to come away with a result and to do it in that style is really pleasing. We've got bundles of international experience, even with the local Indian talent. Aru (Reddy) has been great for us over the last few games. Even the girls that have missed out have been incredible. We've been a real family atmosphere, doing the best for each other, so it's a great group. One more big game to go. (Long break a hindrance) Definitely not. The games have been so rapid, there isn't much time for rest in between. The girls will spend a couple of days completely off and then get back to training. Hopefully, we can be the first Delhi Capitals side to do so (win the tournament)

Alyssa Healy: (Giving others a chance) We did a little bit but also to give others a rest. We weren't good enough in all three facets of the game. (Shabnim Ismail spell) I told her to suck it up and bowl another few. She gave us a sniff but we didn't make the most of it. (Batting for a longer time) Not really, I wanted to hit it off the square. It wasn't easy batting conditions, so we thought if we can get 140-145, we could have been in the game. Would have loved to go at a faster clip, that's for sure. Hopefully, we reflect on what we can improve on. We know we've played well against Mumbai over the last week but we've got to address a few things. I'm really excited to be a part of the finals. It's something we were looking forward to

So, Delhi Capitals advance to the final of the inaugural WPL. What a fine fashion to do that. Some think they have peaked at the right time. Who can say no to that?

Tahlia McGrath played an fantastic knock to take UP Warriorz to 138 but the duo of Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning got Delhi got off to the best possible start in the chase. The first over, in particular, gave the perfect launch as Lanning smashed 20 runs off Shabnim Ismail's bowling.

Debutant Soppadhandi Yashasri eventually had Shafali hole out to long-on in the fifth over. Thereafter, Alyssa Healy brought back Ismail in the seventh over and the pacer removed Jemimah Rodrigues and Lanning in the space of a few deliveries. The small stutter didn't matter much to DC as the prodigious Alice Capsey counter-attacked to relieve all the pressure off the team.

With only a few runs to get, Capsey was dismissed by Sophie Ecclestone while Jess Jonassen also got run-out soon. Yet, Kapp remained calm and finished off the game with 13 balls to spare!

17.5 Deepti Sharma to Marizanne Kapp, FOUR! Delhi Capitals are the table toppers and are heading straight to the finals! Slightly short this time and Kapp rocks back to scythe this through cover-point to seal the deal. The 'Roar Macha' squad can book their place and tickers for Sunday. Delhi Capitals win by 5 wickets!
