IND won by 2 wickets
Player of the match: Axar Patel
Two nail-biters belong to India and they seal the series with a game to play. It could've easily been 2-0 for West Indies as well but sometimes, Cricket is decided by the barest of margins where one enjoys the ecstasy the sport gives and the other has to settle for the agony.

The clock is ticking and we are closer to seeing the sunrise. Before that, it's time to end the coverage as this is Pragadeesh in the great company of Karthik Raj saying goodbye.
Shikhar Dhawan: It was a great team performance. We made a few mistakes but we have the self-beliefs. Axar played an amazing knock and he was well-supported by Deepak and Shardul. I feel domestic cricket is strong and IPL helps a lot. They are performing in front of the huge crowd and everyone has huge self-belief always. We didn't bowl well. They went off to a good start and we took three wickets in quick session. I played a bit slow but Shubman played well. Shreyas and Sanju's partnership made a big impact. The young boys are learning and I thank the support staffs here. It was a great feeling when I scored a hundred in the 100th match and I like to congratulate Shai Hope here. He is a top-quality player and I wish him all the best
Nicholas Pooran: Definitely, last couple of overs we didn't hold our nerves. Last 6 overs, we lost the game. We felt a spinner was easier to hit. We just needed one wicket to seal the game but Axar played really well. Hope's innings was impressive, it was exceptional as a batting group. We wanna win, we wanna win pretty bad in the next game. That's all we are aiming for.
Axar Patel: I think this is a special one. It came at a crucial time and also helped the team to win the series. We have done the same in the IPL. We wanted to be calm and keep cover of the rate. Playing ODIs for the first time since 2017, so it's special to perform in a decider like this
Axar Patel has been named as the 'Man of the Match'
Time for the post-match Presentation!
India beat West Indies by 2 wickets
Axar Patel 64(31) | Shai Hope 115(135)
Shardul Thakur 3-54(7) | Alzarri Joseph 2-46

Who would've thought these scenes when Sanju Samson got out? It demanded a heroic knock from someone to take India over the line and Axar Patel turned out to be the man. We have seen glimpses of his batting prowess in the IPL but he took a different avatar today and played a dream knock. The start didn't go well for India as Shikhar Dhawan was struggling in the middle, while Shubman Gill played some lovely shots but credit should go to the West Indies seamers for bowling tight lines inside the powerplay.

Kyle Mayers took a stunning catch to dismiss Shikhar Dhawan before he removed Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession to put India on the back foot. Soon after, Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson did the repair work and stitched a good partnership. Shreyas brought up his half-century and just when we thought this partnership was taking the game away from West Indies, Alzarri Joseph broke the stand and gave his team a timely breakthrough.

Then, Samson brought up his maiden half-century but he got out while taking a needless single to give West Indies an upper hand. With 100 runs needed in the last 10 overs, it was all about Axar Patel as he rose to the occasion and took on everyone to keep India alive in the contest.

After Deepak Hooda got out, the responsibility was high on Axar's shoulders but he stayed calm throughout and sealed the match for India with a fantastic strike over long-off.
Axar roars in delight and the players are jumping in joy in the Indian dugout. Pooran looks shattered and so are his teammates. We had two edge-of-the-seat thrillers and India have come out on top in both. West Indies fought hard but they were beaten by one man and he is none other than Axar Patel.
49.4 Kyle Mayers to Axar Patel, full-toss outside-off, Axar smashes it over long-off for a maximum. SIX!! The all-rounder seals the game in style for India. With this, the visitors take the series 2-0 with one game to go!
49.3 Kyle Mayers to Mohammad Siraj, yorker outside-off, Siraj guides it wide of short third for a single. 6 needed off 3 now!
Four fielders inside the 30-yard circle on the off-side. Mayers comes around the wicket
Siraj delivered with the ball last time. Can he do the same with the bat?
49.2 Kyle Mayers to Axar Patel, yorker outside-off, Axar plays it to deep mid-wicket and takes a single. Good fielding to not provide a second. 7 needed off 4 now!
49.1 Kyle Mayers to Axar Patel, wide yorker from Mayers, Axar looks to swing towards the leg-side but he doesn't connect. Dot ball. 8 needed off 5 now!
India need 8 runs to win from 6 balls

Axar Patel is on strike and looks like it's Kyle Mayers to bowl the final over. The artificial lights are on
Mohammed Siraj, RHB, walks in at no.10
It's going down to the last over to decide the winner of this match. Who is going to bowl? That's a million-dollar question
