Hardik Pandya, India captain: It's a very special feeling to get to lead your country. Getting the win means a lot to me as well. I kept following what our captain (Rohit) has been doing. (On asked about permanent captaincy) Yes, why not? If given a chance, I'll be more than happy to do it. But we have a World Cup and Asia Cup now though, so we need to focus on that and use our skillsets there. The kind of talent the players we have and the freedom we're getting, this is the New India. They are expressing themselves well, the players playing with freedom, not worrying about failing. Credit to management and the whole group to make that environment. (On bowling Axar in the powerplay) I wanted to give Axar the ball early because he is used to bowling in the powerplay, he is capable of holding his own and then with the wrist spinners, I knew we could get the wickets. It's about how we can get better from here. We are ready for the World Cup, we just need to know how to keep getting better. Pressure and environment-wise, we are ready but in this sport, you never stop learning. (On the role that the fans played) It has been fantastic and I want to thank the fans who supported us. Didn't make us feel like we are playing abroad.

Nicholas Pooran, West Indies captain: We were just not good enough. Didn't learn from our mistakes, we weren't up for it. Our bowlers are getting better, but we need to adapt faster. Barring Hetmyer, we just didn't put up enough partnerships. Executing our plans is what we need to do against top teams. Just hope we, as a team can learn from these experiences, having to build towards a World Cup. (On asked about Holder opening). King and Mayers didn't play today, so we needed someone to open. Just thought of giving him an opportunity to bat higher up. We all know what he can do down the order. Both Akeal and Hayden are bowling well, so playing two spinners is something we can think about in the future. Thank you to all the fans here in America.

Arshdeep Singh, Game-changer Of The Series: It feels really good, feels really great to represent my country. As Rahul Sir says, we are a processed-based team and we focus on it. A lot of importance in the process, I like to keep things simple, that helps me. The talk is about being adaptable to whatever the situation is, don't have to blindly follow whatever the coaching staff or captain says. Keeping it simple and focusing on the process is what helps me a lot. The way they back the youngsters is really good, the environment is really good within the team.

Axar Patel (Game-changer of the match): The plan was to vary pace. The wicket was on the slower side. The focus was just to bowl stump to stump. I was trying to keep things simple. I was trying to back my strengths and stick to my basics which has helped me throughout my career. All the wickets we played on during the ODIs the slower side. The wicket here was also similar. It helped me whenever I pitched up.

West Indies' woes against spin bowling were fully on display in the run-chase today. Axar Patel wrapped up the West Indies top-order within the powerplay itself. The ploy to use Jason Holder up the order did not pay off, with Axar knocking the stumps over of the all-rounder with a straighter one. The same type delivery accounted for Brooks and Thomas in Axar's third over.

Shimron Hetmyer was then joined by Nicholas Pooran, and the duo looked to consolidate. Shimron Hetmyer looked in good touch, he kept depositing Hardik Pandya into the stands, but he lost his skipper in between, when Pooran played all around a straight one from Kuldeep Yadav and had to depart.

Avesh Khan took a beating from Shimron Hetmyer, but the wickets kept falling around him. Ravi Bishnoi was introduced into the attack, and he and Kuldeep Yadav simply ran through their middle and lower order. Some just weren't able to read what was coming out of their hand, some tried to clear the ropes but failed, and soon afterwards, the game was done. Kuldeep had three, Bishnoi took four, Axar had taken 3 in the powerplay itself, and the West Indies capitulated to 100. India took the series 4-1 with an 88-run victory.
