FULL TIME: Bengaluru FC 4-2 Kerala Blasters FC

Both teams looked evenly matched in the first half but the second-half was a different tale altogether. A couple of silly defensive errors at the back by Kerala Blasters allowed the Blues to go 3-1 up in no time. The Blasters did pull back one goal in the second-half but Chhetri's powerful header which made it 4-2 for the Blues put the game to bed.

The Brazilian finds Kristian Opseth inside the box who leaves it for Dimas Delgado who slots it home in impeccable fashion from outside the box, as Albino Gomes is rooted to his spot. 51' GOAL! Cleiton Silva lays off Ashique Kuruniyan on the left flank. The Kerala lad delivers in the ball low and fast to find Kristian Ospeth who slots it home with a single touch past Albino Gomes. The Blues lead 2-1 after falling 0-1 behind. 

48' SAVED! Sunil Chhetri tries to go for a Panenka from the spot and Albino Gomes judges it and catches with no ease. The Kerala Blasters keeper wins the psychological battle here over his Indian Captain. The scoreline remains 1-1. 

47' PENALTY! Bakary Kone brings down Kristian Opseth on the left side of the penalty box and the referee points to the spot with no hesitation.

HALF TIME: Bengaluru FC 1-1 Kerala Blasters FC

A very evenly matched first half so far. Kerala Blasters have had the better chances at goal but Bengaluru FC have eventually cropped back into the game and held the upper hand in the last few minutes. Kerala Blasters went ahead with a counter move while Bengaluru FC equalised on the bank of a defensive error by the visitors.

“They [Bengaluru FC] have very good Indian players, most of them are internationals. They changed their formation in the last two games. They are a good team, also trying to be better like us.
