After what they went through at the start of the tournament, Denmark are perfectly entitled to all the plaudits and support they have received over the past week. They well and truly are the neutrals' favourites!
This is Denmark's best performance at the Euros since they won the trophy in 1992. Could this be their year? Stranger things have happened in football.
Despite the ragged running and the close shaves, Denmark will be absolutely thrilled. They huffed and puffed in the last half-hour, and thoroughly deserve their place in the semi-finals.
Czech Republic were in desperate need of inspiration, and a couple of smart substitutions sparked them into life after half-time. The irrepressible Patrik Schick got his goal after a frantic passage of play minutes into the second half, and what followed was a barrage of forward foray by the Czechs.
Denmark looked like they'd been hit by a freight train, but Kjaer, Vestergaard, and Christensen held their ground to keep Czechs at bay. Schmeichel was called into action on several occasions in the second half and did his bit to ensure that an equaliser was not forthcoming.
The Czechs were never in the game in the first half and were stunned into submission by goals from Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg. The game seemed a lost cause for them, but things were about a turn in the second half.
Denmark's fairy tale continues! The Danes have reached the semi-finals after winning a battle of nerves in a tense second half in Baku.
FULL TIME: Czech Republic 1-2 Denmark
90 + 6' BARAK! Strikes a volley with perfect timing, but it's inches wide of the far post. That was probably the Czechs' last chance.
Seconds left for the Czechs..
90 + 5' Czech Republic mount another desperate counter, but the final product is nowhere near as good as it should be. Denmark punt the ball up the pitch, but the Czechs keep coming back at them.
90 + 3' Coufal still has some fuel left in him, and cuts in with a sharp pass into the box. Denmark are alert and clear their lines - they have everybody behind the ball.
90 + 2' Denmark are in no mood to quicken their pace are content with keeping the ball at the moment. The Czechs are trying their best to press, but there are some tired legs out there at the moment.
SIX minutes of stoppage-time! It's now or never for Czech Republic!
89' Braithwaite goes down in the box! There is definite contact, but the Danish striker went down a little too easily. No penalty!
86' Yellow Card for Tomas Kalas. Denmark get in the way of another Czech counter, and Kalas is a little too desperate to win the ball high up the pitch.
84' Yellow Card for Michael Krmencik. Matej Vydra gets into a footrace with Kjaer and goes down at the edge of the penalty area. The referee is having none of it, and the Czechs are furious. Krmencik gets in the official's face with his remonstrations and is promptly booked for his outburst.
Maehle had options there - Braithwaite was in acres of space in the middle. Can't fault his intentions though, he's fairly prolific a goalscorer!
82' Wonderful play from Denmark! One-touch play, and Maehle is in a duel with the goalkeeper. Vaclik blocks to concede the corner, and it doesn't lead to much.
81' It's Denmark's turn to make a double change, Andreas Christensen and Thomas Delaney are replaced by Joachim Andersen and Mathias Jensen.
It's kitchen-sink time for Czech Republic. Only ten minutes to go to score arguably the most important goal in their recent history.
79' Double change from Czech Republic - Matej Vydra and Vladimir Darida replace Petr Sevcik and Patrik Schick.
78' Brilliant save from Vaclik!! Denmark mount a counter and Wass is given far too much time, he plays the ball into a pocket of space and Poulsen unleashes a powerful shot. Important block from the Sevilla man.
77' Crucial intervention from Christensen! Coufal puts in another inviting cross, but the centre-back gets ahead of Schick to win possession.
74' Schmeichel makes another big save!! The ball is whipped towards Soucek, and Schmeichel nudges the ball past his head to concede a corner. Denmark clear their lines and survive - for the time being.
A set-piece now for Czech Republic..
72' Nearly an own goal!! Not the best of starts for Daniel Wass, his headed clearance falls far too kindly for Jankto. The winger can't believe his luck and snaps at the ball, Kjaer has to pull off an awkward block and is a little too close to finding the back of his own net!
Denmark have steadied their ship after that initial whirlwind from Czech Republic. The game is still on a knife-edge, but the Danes have done well to get back into the contest. The onus is still on the Czechs here.
70' Another change for Denmark, Daniel Wass replaces Jens Stryger Larsen. The Danes opting for some more experience and defensive solidity.
69' Poulsen again! Braithwaite does very well with his hold-up play, and Poulsen finds himself in a 1v2. Takes his chances with the shot, but Vaclik makes the save easily.
68' Normal service has resumed for Denmark. They're up the pitch and are whipping crosses into the box at the moment. Czech Republic are a massive threat on the counter, though, and the Danes will have to keep their guard up.
With less than 30 minutes left, the next goal will likely be the most crucial. Both teams have played their cards at half-time, and this has become an intriguing contest.
65' Ondrej Celustka seems to have picked up an injury and is now being helped off the pitch by his teammates. Jakub Brabec comes on in his place.
62' POULSEN! His turn to make an instant impact, takes Coufal out with his pace. Manages to get his shot away as well, but Soucek puts his body on the line to block the shot and needs treatment now from the medical staff - a couple of stitches and a bandage on the head.
59' Double change now for Denmark, their chief attacking threats Kasper Dolberg and Mikkel Damsgaard make way for Yussuf Poulsen and Christian Norgaard.
56' Crucial intervention from Coufal! Damsgaard looks for Dolberg with a looping ball, but the full-back takes no chances and heads it out for a corner. The Czechs clear their lines yet again.
Denmark are struggling at the moment - a shadow of the team that dominated the first half. They need more of the ball, they need to take the sting out of this game.
54' Foul off the ball from Braithwaite - the decision does not go his way and he is furious. The striker needs to be careful here, his tenacity could come back to haunt him.
53' The corner is easily cleared, but Denmark nip the counter in the bud. Czech Republic look resurgent here - are we in for another thriller here?
52' Denmark finally get the ball and launch an immediate response. Braithwaite uses his extra pace to win a corner for his side.
Czech Republic have created four big chances in the last five minutes, and one of them has yielded a goal. That must have been some team talk at half-time!
What a stunning response from Czech Republic!! Patrik Schick, you cannot keep this man out of the game! He outfoxes his marker in the box and volleys the ball into the corner - Schmeichel had no chance there.
49' GOOOAAAAAAAAL CZECH REPUBLIC! PATRIK SCHICK!
48' Schick this time! Attempts an overhead kick, but the Danes get in the way to allow Schmeichel a simple catch.
47' BARAK! Forces Schmeichel into an even better save this time. Volleys from outside the penalty area - there's not much power on the shot but it's well-directed, the Leicester keeper has to get down to get his fingertips to the ball.
46' Immediate impact from Krmencik. Cuts in from the right, and forces Schmeichel into his first save of the second half.
46' Double change from Czech Republic, as Lukas Masopust and Tomas Holes make way for Michael Krmencik and Jakub Jankto.
THE SECOND HALF IS UNDERWAY! Czech Republic kick things off, attacking from right to left.
11 - Only Spain (12) have scored more goals than Denmark at #EURO2020, with this now the Danes' best return in a single edition at a European Championship/World Cup. Legs. #CZEDENhttps://t.co/MlpQpdidZL
We're a few minutes away from the second half. Do we have a comeback on the cards, or can Denmark make this a comfortable victory? An exciting 45 minutes up ahead.
The Kasper at the other end of the pitch - the one who scored those goals last week - was in no mood to allow Czech Republic a way back. Joakim Maehle invoked a fair bit of Ricardo Quaresma with his beautiful cross, and Dolberg made no mistake with his finish.
The Czechs have been pegged back again at the worst possible time, and now have a massive mountain to climb in the second half!
An excellent first-half performance from Denmark here in Baku. They raced to a lead within the first five minutes with Delaney making the Czechs pay to score an accurate header. Czech Republic fought their way back into the game and won a series of set-pieces, but were unable to trouble Kasper Schmeichel with their efforts.
HALF TIME: Czech Republic 0-2 Denmark
45 + 2' Maehle is down after a clash and is holding his ankle at the moment - worrying signs for Denmark.
Two minutes of added time.
45' Czech Republic are not stunned into submission this time, they're looking for an immediate response and try to camp in Denmark's half. Delaney is not about to be pushed over, however, and carries the ball back up the pitch.
Denmark have ripped the Czechs apart here, and the goal has come from the left flank this time. This goal's all about the delivery from Maehle - a delightful flick from the outside of the boot. Dolberg is - as usual - in the right place at the right time, and smashes it into the back of the net. Massive moment for the Danes!
42' KASPER DOLBERG!! DENMARK 2-0!!!
39' A stoppage in play at the moment, as Stryger Larsen and Boril have both landed awkwardly after an aerial duel.
38' Denmark on the counter again!! He's given far too much space by Tomas Kalas, and takes on Vaclik again. The goalkeeper is up to the challenge, and makes a good save.
35' Holes!! Coufal puts in yet another brilliant cross, Holes takes it on the volley but it goes straight into Schmeichel's arms.
34' Brilliant counter for Denmark! Dolberg holds the ball well in the final third, and times his pass to a sprinting Stryger Larsen. Tomas Vaclik races out to get to it first though, and snuffs out a good chance!
33' Denmark get the ball away again - Czech Republic really need to do better with their set-pieces.
32' Sevcik has switched flanks here, and troubles Delaney to win another free-kick. Denmark clear their lines yet again, but concede a corner.
30' Czech Republic still look a little shell-shocked - Denmark are winning all the footraces here. The Czechs can use set-pieces to good effect though, and win another set-piece. Celustka gets himself in a good position but doesn't get a touch on the ball.
27' BRAITHWAITE!! Outpaces the Czech defence on the flank but has no support in the middle. He takes his chance, but it's all power and no direction. Bright movement there from the Barcelona striker.
26' Czech Republic are beginning to settle down after that early goal, and have finally kept the ball for an extended period. They need to amp it up and find an equaliser before half-time. Coufal is aware of the urgency, he wins another corner with his cross, but Soucek can't make the most of the chance.
22' Poor clearance from Schmeichel! It's intercepted easily and Holes is through on goal. The keeper makes amends, though - makes himself big, pulls off the save, and also does well with the subsequent corner.
20' Good corner from the Czechs! Soucek attacks the ball like you'd expect him to, and Christensen does well to get in his way. Goal kick for Denmark.
19' Coufal is pulling off some excellent passes today - he finds Schick in the penalty area but the striker cannot make the most of his space. Czech Republic have a corner now.
17' DELANEY!!! That should've been Denmark's second, and his second. Stryger Larsen makes a brilliant run into space and crosses into the box, Delaney does his best to get on top of the bounce but cannot get his shot on target.
Czech Republic can ill afford to sit back and play the waiting game now, they've fallen behind and need attack Denmark. That early goal has opened this game up!
13' DAMSGAARD! The Danes break away on the counter and Hojbjerg finds a brilliant long pass. Damsgaard is through on goal but the awkward bounce and difficult angle did not help.
12' Schick! Good passage of play from Czech Republic, Coufal plays Schick down the line. The striker cuts in onto his favoured left foot and wins a corner.
9' Much better defending from Kalas this time - he gets ahead of his man and rids Czech Republic of the danger.
8' Denmark are on the up here. Maehle cuts through the lines to find Dolberg, and the striker stumps his man with a brilliant turn. His shot takes a deflection, and it's another corner.
Very poor defending from the Czechs there - Kalas was ball-watching and had no idea that Delaney was behind him. Set-pieces have always been Denmark's forte, and the deadlock is now broken!
Denmark are ahead win their first attack! It's that man again - Thomas Delaney! Rises highest to lose his marker and give Vaclik no chance with his header!
5'GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAL DENMARK!!! 1-0! Scratch the settling down, Delaney is in no mood to wait!
5' Czech Republic are not going to muck about - their direct approach sees Coufal try his luck from the right. Delaney gets in the way and Denmark win a corner on the counter.
3' Denmark seem to be slightly edging the opening exchanges, and have now won a free-kick at the halfway line. This game should take a few more minutes to settle down.
2' Early clash of heads as both Denmark and Czech Republic fight for the ball. Joakim Maehle is receiving treatment on the pitch after a collision with Tomas Soucek.
KICK-OFF! Denmark get things underway, attacking from right to left.
We're minutes away from kick-off here in Baku. Time for the anthems!
I'm looking forward to the Czech Republic v Denmark match, the Danish bench has 3 very good penalty takers, if they Wind up going the distance #CZEDEN#EURO2020
Make no mistake, this match is a much bigger spectacle than some media outlets want you to believe. Czech Republic and Denmark have both won the Euros before, and that's more than I can say for some of Europe's 'big' teams.
We have plenty of time left for kick-off, so here are some statistics to keep you company:
For Czech Republic, Petr Sevcik starts on the left flank ahead of Jakub Jankto. Tomas Holes opened the scoring against the Netherlands and has been rewarded with another opportunity ahead of the young Alex Kral. Czech Republic seem to have all their bases covered at the moment and are a robust outfit.
No real surprises from either side here - both Denmark and Czech Republic have gone with their tried and tested first teams. Denmark have given Kasper Dolberg a start ahead of Yussuf Poulsen after the former's brilliant performance against Wales. Jens Stryger Larsen also gets the nod ahead of Daniel Wass, with the impressive Joakim Maehle on the opposite flank.

LINE-UPS ARE OUT!
5 - Five of the last six matches between the Czech Republic and Denmark have ended as draws, including their most recent encounter in November 2016. The other game in this run was a 3-0 Denmark win in a March 2013 World Cup qualifier. Even. #EURO2020pic.twitter.com/dpxVCZ4MXa
Right, so we have little under 20 minutes to go for the official line-ups, so here's a set of predictions from television pundit, Arsenal great, and Sportskeeda's very own expert columnist: Paul Merson!
Denmark are no pushovers, however, and absolutely dismantled earlier this week. Following Eriksen's unfortunate collapse and two early defeats, many of us gave the Danes little to no chance. Given what we've seen over the past week, though, I can safely say we've all been proved wrong.
Denmark have scored 8 - yes, eight - goals in their last two games and have been nothing short of brilliant at the Euros. Damsgaard and Dolberg have announced themselves, Schmeichel and Kjaer have been inspirational with their leadership, and the Danes certainly have what to takes to cause a few more upsets this year. Dark horses for the ages!
Czech Republic have been a surprise package at Euro 2020 this year and gave a good account of themselves in their group. The Czechs absolutely stunned the Netherlands in the Round of 16 and can certainly prove to be a handful on their day!
Patrik Schick scored what is arguably the goal of the tournament with his wand of a left foot last month, and the likes of Soucek and Coufal have played their roles to perfection! Czech Republic have a certain balance about them, and it should serve them well tonight.
