37' What a save from Staněk! The Slavia goalkeeper showed had to be at his best to react. He once explained to me that he always waits till the very last moment to make his move. This one against Ronaldo was simply fantastic.

36' Another loose pass in a dangerous area forced three Czechs breaking into a sprint to cover the counterattack. They're under pressure but Portugal haven't broken through yet.

34' Brilliant trickery from Cristiano Ronaldo to play Bruno Fernandes on but the Czechs defend with their lives and make a timely interception inside their own box to not allow Bruno have the final shot.

Bernardo set Bruno Fernandes free on the right, but Leão didn't manage to meet the ball by a tiny fraction. With space, Portugal look lethal. But they haven't managed to score yet.

31' The Czechs will want to improve the precision of their passes. The lost ball in a dangerous area immediately led to a dangerous counter. But that is easier said than done. The reaction time of the Portuguese players to any slight space in the defence is immediate.

4' I think Portugal are big contenders. When you look at the squad depth, this is a team of real quality with options for the manager. The challenge will be working out the best tactical systems. Roberto Martínez is a very tactically versatile manager.

3' Czechia will rely on Schick once more. He has a lot experience of playing in these matches, and will require support from the wingers tonight. Of course, it is risky to pile forward when Ronaldo, Rafael Leão or Bernardo Silva are looking to attack.
