Qatar are now on the brink of an early exit if the Dutch avoid defeat later today, but they can now hold their heads up high. After a tame performance against Ecuador, the hosts gave Senegal a proper run for their money.
For Qatar, Mohammed Muntari is on for Aziz.
Ismaila Sarr and Famara Diedhiou are replaced by Jonathan Bamba and Ndiaye for Senegal.
Qatar get the ball rolling and are attacking from left to right.
Senegal enjoyed a good start but weren't able to find the final product in the first half-hour. Boulaye Dia stepped up, however, and the AFCON champions now have a base to build from.
Senegal head into the break with a one-goal lead thanks to Dia's goal. The striker punished Qatar after Khoukhi's unfortunate slip inside the box. Qatar grew into the game but Koulibaly and Sabaly kept a tight ship at the back to maintain their clean sheet. Can the hosts dig deep to score their first-ever goal at the FIFA World Cup? Find out with us after we resume the live commentary in the second half.
Boulaye Dia is the fastest to react and finishes with a right-footed strike.
