It will all be decided from the round three fixtures of Group E. No team is guaranteed a spot in the round of 16 as yet. Today's match was a proper entertainer and we shall hope of more such fearless and direct football in the tournament.

The game never lacked intensity and it was a fun watch from a football fan's perspective. With this 1-1 draw Spain move to the top of the Group E table, while Germany survive elimination for now.

After a goalless first half, things changed dramatically in the second half. Spain's substitute Alvaro Morata opened the scoring with a well-timed run to score past Neuer. Germany reacted well and found the equalizer through Fullkrug, who's just making his fourth international appearance.

The energy has been electric from both sides which must have kept the fans engaged. Germany need a little more spark upfront but they surely haven't been too bad so far. Spain know that the 2014 World Cup champions will come full throttle in the second half and it will be an interesting contest.

Spain started the game quite well with some confident passing and good creativity in attack. Germany grew in the game as it progressed and didn't allow La Roja much time on the ball with intense pressing. Olmo instigated a good save from Neuer before Rudiger guided the ball home, only for the goal to be termed offside.
