Spears is frustrated and is trash-talking Cody. He slaps Cody, but Cody returns the favour and then hits the Cross Rhodes. He hits another Cross Rhodes, but SPEARS KICKS OUT!

Cody is able to just beat the count and get into the ring at 9.

Brandi stops Spears from untying the turnbuckle. Cody almost hits Brandi accidentally, but does not. Spears hits the Death Valley Driver on Cody through the tables from the ring out to the ringside. Cody may be done.

Spears is bringing out the table from under the ring, but Cody hits a Suicide Dive and pushes Spear all the way down the ramp. Cody sets up the table at the end of the ramp.

Cody uses the weight belt to whip Spears. He goes for the Disaster Kick, but Spears catches him with a Spinebuster.

Spears goes for a Frog Splash on Cody, but lands on the knees of the Superstar. Cody gets up and he punches Spears. Things are looking better for Cody as he connects a knee and a Powerslam.

Cody is in some trouble now as he is trying to fight out of a bad situation. Shawn Spears hits him with a kick to the face outside and breaks open the guard-rails and props it on the side of the ring.

Cody fights back, but in the end is Suplexed on the guardrail.

Cody has the amateur wrestling down to a t, and he is dominating the match in a big way.

Spears lets the temper get the better of him and throws in a chair, but Cody immediately wrestles him down, hits a release Suplex and tries multiple pin attempts.

Spears comes back with a knee strike and a chop. This is going to be a technical and hard-hitting match. Cody tries the Figure Four, and Spears goes to the outside.

Spears is out early on to gather his breath, but Cody has the advantage in the beginning.

Cody and Spears engage in chain wrestling to begin the match.

Cody and Spears are in the ring now as the TNT Championship Tournament is kicked off.

Cody and Shawn Spears will be facing each other soon for the Quarter Final Match for the new TNT Championship.

The lack of the Sister Abigail position this week was interesting. Hopefully, this means Lee will stop with the shots at WWE and focus on his own character.

Lee hits a huge Snapdragon Suplex. He continues with the Spinning Slam, and then picks him up and hits the Discus Clothesline. Interestingly, there was no Sister Abigail position tonight.

Brodie Lee defeats Lee Johnson

Brodie Lee takes out Lee Johnson with a Big Boot after stopping his Dropkick attempt. He then looks at Marko Stunt, while hitting a Senton over the rope on Johnson.

Jericho is yet to answer the challenge of Jericho.

Now, Brodie Lee is out for a match,

Matt Hardy addresses AEW from the Hardy Compound.

He talked about how Jericho had insulted The Elite. He called Guevara a false God and that he did not know Spanish. He also called Santana and Ortiz loud and devourable, saying he would eat them.

He finally calls Hager a Jerichostein. He says that Jericho's attempts to recruit Vanguard1 was a failure.

Vanguard 1 says that Jericho's shirt was a dumpster fire and we see it burning.

Hardy says that he will delete Jericho and the Elite.

He invites Jericho to the Hardy Compound for the Elite Deletion.

This episode of AEW has been rather different from previous episodes of the show, with more pre-taped promos. This might be a vision of what's to come.

Matt Hardy is set to appear next, as is Brodie Lee. Lee will be in a match.
