So that wraps up an eventful edition of AEW Rampage. It started off hot with a phenomenal match between The Young Bucks and Lucha Bros. Athena made her in-ring debut, Starks & Hobbs beat their opponents in under a minute. Scorpio Sky retained his title in a fun main event. But the biggest news of them all is CM Punk announcing his injury.

We have official clarification on the title picture folks. CM Punk is still your AEW World Champion. Next week's episode of AEW Dynamite will kick off with a Battle Royale with the winner facing Jon Moxley in the main event and the winner of that match will challenge for the interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door.

UPDATE: Chris Jericho has ONCE AGAIN mentioned on commentary that CM PUNK HAS RELINQUISHED the title.

Punk says he wanted to relinquish the title but Tony Khan told him that he believes in him.

Punk says there is a long list of people who can fill his shoes. He name drops Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley.
