14:46 (IST)24 AUG 2018

That's the end of India's campaign in mixed team archery in the Compound section.

14:45 (IST)24 AUG 2018

In the fourth set, India posted scores of 9, 9, 10 and 10 for a total of 38.

Iran posted 10, 9, 9, 10 for the same identical score of 38.

But due their earlier lead, Iran win this match 155-153

14:42 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Due to that poor third set score, the lead has been snatched by Team Iran and they are now up 117-115

14:41 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Under pressure, Team India faltered.

It's a 37 from the Indian archers (9, 8, 10, 10)

14:40 (IST)24 AUG 2018

And now the third set is under way!

Iran came out all guns blazing in this set and have registered a flawless 40

14:39 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Iran too scored 39 in the second set (10, 10,10, 9)

After the second set, India lead Iran 78-77

14:39 (IST)24 AUG 2018

And the second set too has just got over.

The Indian archers have come up with the same score of 39 in this set as well (10, 10, 9, 10)

14:37 (IST)24 AUG 2018

And the second set is under way now!

14:36 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India has a slim lead of one point after the first set (39-38).

14:36 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India is playing Iran and the first set has just finished.

14:34 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Good afternoon! We are back with the live updates from the quarter-final of the compound mixed team archery.

10:29 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India's Compound Mixed Team quarter-final clash against Iran will begin at 2.40 pm IST.

10:28 (IST)24 AUG 2018

With the Recurve Mixed Team featuring Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das out of the competition, India's hopes of a medal in the Mixed Team category will rest on the shoulders of the Compound Mixed Team, who can secure a medal by the end of the end if they win the quarter-final and semi-final scheduled for later today.

10:00 (IST)24 AUG 2018

In the quarter-final of the Compound Mixed Team event, India will now face Iran.

09:59 (IST)24 AUG 2018

A sensational effort from Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam. Nearly half of their 16 shots were 10 and they hit at least one in each set. Their consistency helped him easily overcome Iraq and go through to the quarter-final.

09:48 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India beat Iraq 155-147 to reach the quarter-final of the Compound Mixed Team event.

09:48 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Another near perfect fourth set from India as they hit three 10s and a nine. Iraq have simply had no answer as they finish with 35 in the final set.

09:47 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India have won the first three sets. India lead Iraq 116-110.

09:46 (IST)24 AUG 2018

This has been simply sensational from the Indian duo of Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam. Three successive 10s and a nine to end the third set with a near perfect 39. And Iraq hit three 10s but finish with an eight.

09:44 (IST)24 AUG 2018

At the end of the second set, India lead Iraq 77-72.

09:44 (IST)24 AUG 2018

After five successive 10s, it is finally a nine. But three successive nines mean that India finish with 37 in the second set and Iraq just fall short as they have 36.

09:43 (IST)24 AUG 2018

At the end of the first set, India lead Iraq 40-36.

09:42 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Excellent start from the Indian pair who shoot a perfect 40 in the first set and Iraq can only manage 36.

09:41 (IST)24 AUG 2018

And we are underway in the Compound Mixed Team Round of 16 clash between India and Iraq.

09:30 (IST)24 AUG 2018

More history being made by India in rowing courtesy of the GOLD medal in the Men’s Quadruple Sculls. That is only the second ever rowing gold for India at the Asian Games.

09:03 (IST)24 AUG 2018

ICYMI: India have already won two bronze medals on day 6 courtesy of rowing. The first came in the men's Lightweight Single Sculls and the second was in the men’s Lightweight Double Sculls

08:53 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Next up for India is the Compound Mixed Team event which will see Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam take on Iraq in the round of 16 as they look to keep India's hopes of a medal in Archery alive.

08:46 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Having shot four 10s out of eight and the other four being 9, Atanu Das looked like he had done enough to book India a spot in the quarter-final. With a 10 in the Shoot-Off that certainly looked to be the case but Deepika Kumari, who was suffering from Dengue right before the Games couldn't quite come through and that means India are out of the Recurve Mixed Team event.

08:36 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Mongolia beat India 5-4 and advance to the quarter-final of the Recurve Mixed Team event.

08:35 (IST)24 AUG 2018

In the shoot-off, Mongolia and India both shot 10 to start off but the second arrow was a nine from Mongolia and just seven from India and that is that for the Indian duo.

08:32 (IST)24 AUG 2018

After four sets, India 4-4 Mongolia.

08:32 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Needing a ten with the final arrow of the fourth set to level the score and claim a victory, India manage just eight. Mongolia take the fourth set 37-35.

08:26 (IST)24 AUG 2018

After three sets, India lead Mongolia 4-2.

08:25 (IST)24 AUG 2018

The Indian duo are turning on the style as they once again register nothing less than nines and finish with a score of 38 in the third set. The Mongolians simply have no answer as they can only manage 34.

08:24 (IST)24 AUG 2018

At the end of the second set, the scores are level at 2-2.

08:24 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Nothing less than nines from the Indian duo in the second set and they comfortably take it 38-33.

08:20 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Mongolia lead India 2-0 at the end of the first set.

08:20 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Three nines from both Mongolia and India to begin with but the final arrow of the first set is an eight from Mongolia but just six from India. They take it 35-33.

08:19 (IST)24 AUG 2018

And the archery action for the day is underway with the Recurve Mixed team.

08:12 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India are off the mark with Bronze. While India can't get a medal in Archery today, courtesy of rowing where Dushyant won Bronze in the Men's Lightweight Single Sculls, India now have a medal on day 6.

08:07 (IST)24 AUG 2018

In the Compound Mixed Team, Round of 16, India's Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam will take on Iraq.

08:04 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Their first chance will be in the Recurve Mixed Team Round of 16 where Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das will team up to take on Mongolia.

07:51 (IST)24 AUG 2018

India have won 18 medals so far in the Asian Games 2018. Although they can't improve their medal tally in Archery on day six, they can certainly inch closer towards getting at least one by the end of the day's action.

07:39 (IST)24 AUG 2018

07:33 (IST)24 AUG 2018

Action continues on Day 6 of the multi-sporting extravaganza -- The 2018 Asian Games.

Day five ended more with a whimper, rather than a bang. On what was a disappointing day for India, several participants lost their matches in the final stages. Ankita Raina (WR 189) bagged a Bronze medal as she went down against Zhang Shuai (WR 34). She fought valiantly against the Chinese Number eventually lost 6-4, 7-6(6). Meanwhile, the Men's doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan made it to the Final of the event and are have ensured at least a Silver medal for India.

Meanwhile, India's 15-year-old shooter Shardul Vihan also bagged a Silver in the  Men's Double Trap Final and took the total tally to 17. There was also progression in other racquet sports, as badminton squash, and indeed Tennis saw Indian athletes advance. However, India's loss to Iran in the Men's Kabaddi Semifinal was completely unprecedented and historic in a wrong sense for India! There were also losses in Archery and Weightlifting.

After a disappointing day five in Archery where no Indian managed to go through beyond the quarter-final in the men's and women's Individual recurve, India will be looking to bounce back in the team events on day six.
